@@CatskillOne , Problem is the NBA is not as popular in Europe as before. Harden, Lebron can easily walk in European cities without anybody recognizing them. The Golden age of the NBA is over. NBA players in Europe are not any more superstars (stars outside the pitch) such as Jordan, Rodman, Bryant, Magic, Shaq etc...
Carter : " that ain't true, Americans are not violent" Also Carter 5 seconds later : **Pulls out a pistol** "Say I love America!" "Sing national anthem!"
there is no comparision between them in my opinion. chris tucker is the best comediant ever. maybe eddie murphy could beat him. to me, chris tucker is the best ever. funny af
To me the French taxi driver is the funniest one in this scene. He's facial expression is prefect, from being straight faced in the beginning, to grouchy when he sees Carter, to petrified when Carter points the gun at him. The most hilarious bit is his singing, first the French anthem to the US anthem.
I don't think he cares. But yeah NBA is one thing in a negative way and it's a warning. Talking about Halle Berry in a negative way well that's one way to make people riot
I always knew Chris Tucker could sing I believe he had an album back between the late 90s and 2000s. Chris Tucker actually sang one of the Space Jam songs "Basketball Jones."
WeiYinChan you don't gotta, Americas the land of immigrants. Make fun of the land, cool, no one gives a shit. Make fun of the culture, hell naw, you gone too far buster.
Despite this being poorly received, this is my favourite RUSH HOUR film. The first I saw in cinemas. Hilarious! Always love the U.S. - France Culture clash.
1:09 Carter : Sing the national anthem! Frenchman : "Allons enfants de la..." Carter : Not that one man, sing the American one The Frenchman was right tho 🤣🤣
The fact that he pulled out a gun and force the dude to sing star spangled banner, yeah this is the most American and Patriotic thing I have ever seen.
It happened because France did not want to let her colony go after World War 2, even after the Vietnamese helped defeat the Japanese and that pissed them off. So yeah France started the Vietnam war.
@@Inoffensive_nameNot really. The US just decided they couldn't spend more resources there when they had the European, East Asian, and Middle Eastern theater. US was spread out all over the globe. Plus, the US never lost a major battle in Vietnam.
@@anhucpham1099 US could destroy VN easily with their firepower in the 70s and VN absolutely has no chance to defend against the firepower. But the thing is US decided that it's too costly to continue the objective thus they give it up. VN still rejoice in that fake pride lol.
he actually can sing very well that way he carrying out at the end of the first verse takes skill no cap i've always liked chris tucker and all his work. all 3 movies will stand the test of time all 3 super hilarious always loved jackie chan because he done almost if not all his stunts him and chris worked flawlessly 😂😂😂
Just because America lost one game to France doesn't mean they're not good anymore. Even though they lost to them, with France being badass good, America still beat them in the gold medal round.
I wonder what Carter would have done if George said he doesn't drive black people. And btw, he's French, he has no room to talk about other countries losing wars
“C’monnn America is a joke, you lost in Vietnam in Iraq. You can’t even beat the European teams in basketball anymore.. the dream team is dead” LMAO he been waiting to come across an American to finally get that off his chest
What I find more funny about this scene is while Carter and the taxi driver sing, Lee is probably super annoyed and just patiently sits there til the song ends.
