@@swampgator1957 Except for Power Windows and Hold Your Fire, I've seen Rush every tour since Grace Under Pressure. The only reason I missed those two tours was because I was in the Air Force and stationed in England at the time. Took my oldest son to see them twice - the first was R30 and the second was Clockwork Angels. All of them were seen in Ohio, except for R40, which I saw in N. Carolina, having moved to S. Carolina a few months prior. My first concert was Cheap Trick headlining, with Krokus and Saxon opening. I paid $15.00 for that show in 1982. In between that and R40, I've also seen Aerosmith, Damn Yankees, Adam Ant, Yes (twice), Journey, Foghat, Donnie Iris, Depeche Mode, Kansas, Bon Jovi (in Las Vegas when I was in the Air Force), and The Spin Doctors. The last concert I saw was Weird Al about a year after R40. Oh, and Katrina and the Waves doing their last show at the NCO Club at RAF Lakenheath in England before going to America to record their first album. I have a soft spot for any film, tv show, or commercial that uses Walking on Sunshine.

All airports have a 3-letter designator code that is broadcast over the airplane radio in Morse Code. YYZ is the code for Toronto airport and Neil Peart plays the Morse Code for “YYZ” on the cymbal at the beginning of the song
@brbailey

My brothers and I were listening to this in the house in 1981 (with the volume turned up to 11), and my dad walked in. He said "That's YYZ." Our jaws hit the floor. He didn't listen to this type of music at all. How would he know? We stopped the music and asked "How in the world did you know that?" He then told us that the beginning notes to the song were Morse code for "YYZ". My dad had been a radioman in the Coast Guard and knew Morse code really well. We were very impressed. Miss him terribly.

Did you pick up that the cords Alex Lifeson was playing on his guitar was Morse code for YYZ? Neil clues you into that when he starts dinging the chime at the beginning. The dinging means the following message is in Morse Code. YYZ is the Morse Code radio call letters for Toronto Airport. Alex is a flight enthusiast and has a pilot license and would often fly his band mates to gigs. The song is an allegory for them flying into Toronto on the way back from a gig. The songs theme is flight path, turbulence, descent, landing, end of flight. If you listen to YYZ the Album version the ending is hilarious. Geddy and Alex have a brief conversation before they part ways after the flight. 😂

'YYZ' is the airport code for the city of Toronto, Canada... the track itself was a bit of a joke. During the 1980/'81 sessions for 'Moving Pictures', Alex Lifeson (guitar) decided to take a break from the studio to fly his remote-controlled toy... So, Geddy Lee and Neil Peart decided to jam while he was gone. 'YYZ' was the track that they came up with... When Lifeson came back in, the track was done and just needed the guitarist to put in his parts.
