Everyone understands he is not up there being malicious to his parents or any particular ethnicity. If you want to get butthurt then ok ... but don't feel offended on behalf of his family or others. He has never really claimed to represent India either. He has said he has visited there and talks about how he can see himself living there. However, he speaks more about the western Indian experience. He can talk about that as he has lived in North America all his life. You are the example of the fool who reaches far and wide in anything to feel offended. Btw ... India is a NATION in the indian subcontinent. daarrkmatter dont speak for Indians man...we dont have any problems with his jokes....i have travelled all over my country and have had many conversations with many kinds of people from different cultures...we seriously dont have any issues with someone like Russel peters does comedy on us he makes fun of everyone and himself too....its all fun...believe me 500 years of invasions colonization brutal occupation and all that we are still breeding and surviving pretty good and on our way up....I would like to think one of the reasons is cos we have a sense of humour and can take a good ribbing...so pretty please shut up or speak for urself...India doesn’t care
23 years ago I saw Russel peters perform in a little comedy club in midtown Toronto called yuk yuks. I remember going up to him and saying ‘that was good!’ And that’s my story ... very proud of all he’s done

I've always been a Russel fan but he does come across with a chip on his shoulder I bet he's a dick in person. In a way I don't blame him though. The come up being a comedian is a fucking grind- and he had to work his ass off.

Because he doesn't have blue eyes and blonde hair and not 6 ft slim white man. Every single middle Eastern,African, and Indian all over the world knows him. But American media give credit where credit is not due, also based on racial preferences.. That's why. In all honestly we are happy that he is not one of those. There are numerous black and Asian artists and comedians who have no place in Hollywood, but it's ok.
When Russell mentioned him being the 1st on RU-vid, I remember this vividly. I discovered him via RU-vid, then got my boy to cop his shows, burn em to CD's (not DVD's, CD's) and then we ould watch em on a laptop, connect a vga/scart lead to the TV and watch on TV. No HDMI cables back then, no screencasting lol
I love how in tune he is about all of the different cultures in comedy and music. He is soo brilliant and funny and cool as hell! Straight forward and just cool. Lol
Russell Peters one of the best comedians out there, been watching him for a long time. Til this day I still go back and watch his old specials he definitely deserves more respect. Salute to him and his career great guy.
one of if not the most underrated comedians of all time and I say that not because of his ethnicity but because he's naturally funny in a way that most people aren't and his comedy is universal we need another Russell Peters comedy special scratch we need 10 more

Russell Peters was flown out to my ship the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D Eisenhower while we were deployed in the middle east. Our executive officer Tushar Tembe was middle-eastern and Russell Peters ripped him for like an hour and it was hilarious. That executive officer has since passed away and I will never forget him because of Russell Peters.
I remember watching that special on RU-vid in 2005. I used to say somebody gonna get a hurt real bad all the time. Amazing to see how big he got. Same with Tiffany haddish too. I remember seeing her at the laugh factory at 2am and on stage she was like you all are gonna see me in movies. 5 years later it happened and she is everywhere
He really is the OG youtube stand Up comic. Dane Cook's special was good but I knew NOBODY that hadn't heard of Russel Peter's and could quote his jokes word for word. Back in 2008 my middle school was all shouting "somebody gonna geta HURT REAL BAD" 😂 he really does deserve better deals from the industry
