Nah, you guys are looking at it wrong. This was the absolute peak of being a fan. It was an amazing period of time and we should be grateful we experienced it. Sad with the results and what could have been, of course. But you can't watch Russ high fiving his brother after that shot and not crack a smile. These years were special, win or lose.
I was heartbroken as a Cavs fan lmao, watching Westbrook destroy Curry those 3 games they won felt like a fever dream. Russ played angry and it was a privilege to watch, but him and KD just didn’t have that serial killer in them to finish them off. Will always be a crying shame
@Braden A Yes they were greatly assembled doesn't mean they were the best in the playoffs, spurs could have won the series against them had they stuck to their unselfish ball movement game plan instead of forcing Kawhi, inefficient slow lamarcus, and 40 year old tim to go iso, they just matched up to golden state perfectly thats why he said that
@Braden A I just said why they lost to them, that was their only legitimate competiton before facing golden state, and they lost because of not following their usual game plan, the same thing happened to thunder against the warriors they blew a 3-1 lead because they let kd and russ iso all game, and it caused them to lose game 5,6,7, instead of doing what they were usually doing in game 1,2,3
@Braden A coach donovan said that they weren't sticking to their game plan in game 5,6,7 and how ironic is it that when spurs were sticking to their unselfish ball movement game plan system, they blew thunder out by 32 in game 1, lost by 1 in game 2 due to horrible officiating, and won game 3 at their home court, then they stopped doing it after, you have to really experiment and study teams and games very well, thunder didn't beat spurs by iso ball, they beat them because involving adams in pick and rolls in the paint, involving dion and roberson which caused them to shoot efficient, and contributing to kanters paint ability with their size helped them win that series

Finally someone is standing up to the challenge of guarding Curry and we can all witness what that does to him. Westbrook is showing the world who the better player is. He isn't just relying on his 3 point shot like curry, he is assisting like crazy and defends Curry like no one else did this season.
I'm a warriors fan so I can't say it's over, but man... The thunder deserve to be champs. The Spurs, maybe us, possibly the cavs, best possible championship run ever! Hopefully we can figure y'all out but if not, life goes on.
Tips to beating the Warriors: 1. Be aggressive on offense 2. Slow down their tempo and disrupt their ball movement 3. Do your best to make sure that curry doesn't get into a rhythm 4. When you get the lead waste time 5. Most importantly make sure all your players are healthy because the warriors are only good at beating teams that are handicapped or injury prone
Man, as a Spurs fan I was extremely disappointed they took 3 straight form us to win the series 4-2. But after seeing this, it just looked like the Thunder were gonna easily glide all the way to the Championship.
Okc had it all that year. Had him and kd closed it out im pretty sure their legacies would be diffrent. Yes russ might not win nba mvp or kd might not have his 2 finals mvps but im pretty sure they couldve been the leugues most fav team in 17-19. Westbrook wont be known for stat padding or losing inthw first round. While kd wont be known as a snake
and KD ends up getting swept in the 1st round as well, so he ended up doing worse than Russ did, when he played the 1st rounds, because Russ didn't get swept
