9A31M is the designation for the "combat vehicle" part of the 9K31M "Strela-1M" self-propelled anti-air missile system on the wheeled chassis of BRDM-2. It's the predecessor to "Strela-10" system already in game, and has only photocontrast guidance mode on its SAMs (no IR).
@@BiasThunderz I don’t mind getting another t80, but also the lack of 11.7s isn’t an excuse, the 11.3s are more than capable and arguably under tiered, just because they don’t have 3BM60??? The 2S25M should be 11.7 then
Object 430 was modified into Object 432, with new composite armor, a U5T-S 115 mm gun, and autoloader, which in turn became the prototype of the T-64 MBT.
@petergray2712 U-5TS (2A20) is a manually loaded gun with unitary rounds. The version of object 430 with U-5TS is object 435, which we have in game. The autoloader on object 432 required 2-piece munitions, and therefore, it has the version of U-5TS configured for those - the D-68 (2A21) cannon. It also has the 700 BHP 5TDF engine.
@@Postoronniy That is AFAIK the Object 432. Gaijin uses the wrong designation for it. They also call the Ram an M4A5, even though nobody actually used that number irl.
@petergray2712 The model and designation for object 435 in the game are correct. The original prototype vehicle developed by KB-60M in 2nd half of 1950s was the object 430 with 100mm rifled D-54 cannon. Its variant with the 115mm smoothbore U-5TS was the object 435. Object 432 is a further development of object 430/435 concept in the first half of 1960s, with somewhat different hull and turret layout, composite armor, turbocharged engine, and autoloader, which, as I mentioned, uses 2-piece ammunition, and therefore the vehicle has the D-68 cannon. In 1966, object 432 was standardized as T-64.
@@theneef174 That doesnt mean there shouldnt be WW2 vehicles? What are you talking about? There's so many vehicles Gaijin can still add. Instead of more modern shit.
I mean, the radar-less shilka is pretty cool but russia has great aa coverage at that tier. 6.3 7.7 and 8.0 are allready served with aa's. Maybe the US, or someone allied to them captured one of them at some point? If so they could get it, they really really need an aa between 4.3 and 7.7.
@@nikolaideianov5092 it's up to personal preference, but objectively, it's better than the .50 cal. Most SPAAs tend to value volume of fire over projectile size, but I find myself performing better with larger calibers even if the RoF is lower.
If it’s a typo and it’s 9a310m1 would mean the missile used by the SA-11/17 Grizzly or the Buk-m1 or Buk-m1-2 in the TELAR (Transporter erector launcher and radar) configuration.
Been waiting for the real KV-1C forever. Really hope they give one to Finland as well because of course they won't give the Finnish subtree the tanks they rightfully stole.
Watching Red Effect’s video on the T-80BVM OBR 2023. It is unverified that it can reverse the speed they claimed. Based on how they went about displaying it, not to mention it didn’t look faster. The car they were driving to “show the speed” the guy conveniently put his ham arm in front of then speedometer so we couldn’t see how fast they were driving. Seems like the thing you’d do if you ain’t hitting the speeds you claimed in reverse to me.
With high certainty there's probably no such modification being made, because there's a reason why soviet tanks can't go backwards - there's just no room for new gearbox, even if they had one in a first place. All soviet tanks have pretty small gearboxes, smaller than typical NATO tanks, with only 4 or 5 gears forward and 1 backward. This is because engine bay is a lot smaller also. So in order to put new gearbox with additional rear gear they need fully redesign whole structure and remade everything.
@@Chastity_Belt I doubt that highly.. Ukrainian T-84 FLIES IN REVERSE. Unless you want to say it’s a full redesign, and a completely different tank entirely… There’s no excuse other than laziness, corruption, and lack of care for the lives of tankers in Russian hierarchy.
@@BARelement yes, and it was severely modified, that's why there was like half a dozen of them made in total And it's engine compartment was enlarged, just like i said, because it is a necessity if you want to do something about transmission on soviet tanks. It was designed that way from the beginning
we know for sure it can reverse quickly given the footage though they never show the exact speed. Russia does do a lot of maskarovka which is a reason rather than them "lying" since we literally see it reverse much quicker than the T-72 series of tanks and the earlier T-80 series of tanks you don't need to 'redesign' the entire engine bay or tank necessarily
@@BiasThunderz it does. People tend to be more interested in their own countrys stuff: gaijin devs are russian = more russian vehicles. Ussr has the most vehicles by far ingame.
If Russia is getting a vehicle from 2023 can other nations get upgrades to 2023 as well? Also it would be nice if we could get an update on a South Korean sub-tree.
Gaijin: “we’re gonna add the most modern functional Russian MBT that was put in service last year, but we’re still not gonna add the correct armor to the Abrams from the early 2000’s”
try again because the Abrams did not have DU hull armor at that point in time the SEPv3 is the only one that MIGHT have DU hull and that is a big maybe. The Abrams just sucks either way both in game and irl
@@zeffy._440 false. Even Gaijin themselves has said they have evidence that SEPv2 has du in the hull, they just don’t have a paper that explicitly says “it’s in every single hull produced”, because that’s their criteria for adding stuff they don’t wanna add. Gaijin can’t even get the penetration of the M103’s gun right, something that’s well documented and easy to find, you really trust them to model the Abrams’ armor correctly? You need to check your biases.
@@devendoffing7004 Where is this evidence then? They did say that there might have been some produced however nowhere did they say that it entered production or that a complete tank with DU was fielded with that specific Abrams version. Their criteria is completely fine nothing biased there. There were no Abrams models that had DU that are in the game so far the SEPv3 MAYBE has it and even then Russian DU rounds like 3BM59 and possible tungsten rounds like 3BM60 will make quick work of the LFP
Lackluster at best irl? I suppose all modern tanks are lackluster at best then right. After all pro-ukrianian sources show abrams and leopard have the same loss rate as t80s.
Soviet mains be like "plz increase maximum lineup size by another 10 slots, we can't fit all these top tier worthy planes helis and tanks in" Minor tree mains be like "you guys get more than four or five top tier capable vehicles in total?"
American mains be like "please give the F16 100 Aim 120s and nerf the R27ER, its so overpowered!" Russian mains be like "You guys can shoot ARH missile more than 3km away?"
Since they have added stuff like the Churchill bunker Buster thing they can add more modern stupid things like the Russian turtle tanks Even if it's just one event vehicle I just want a turtle tank I know it's just a T-series tanker that can't rotate it's turret but I love them One of them has been nicknamed Ferdinand and I have become emotionally invested in him
i think having the cope cages in warthunder would be enough for me to simply stop playing. Top attacks are already incredibly gimped and with this addition knowing gaijin it would essentially make tow-2b's useless despite the real life proof of the addon cages not stopping tow-2b's and other top attacks. and good luck getting anywhere useful with tow-2A's becuase the tandem doesnt work, the bradley's engine is slow becuase its not the ODS model. who knows they maybe theyll fix the stupid overpressure system when hitting external parts now that russia has something similar to what the sepv1 suffers
TOW-2B's suck irl so the ingame model isn't too different to that. The roof cage though is only designed for drones Javelins according to tests and what we've seen only have a 9% success rate so Russian forces aren't worried about those. There's a bigger concern over drones which is what this cage is designed to counter
top tier is cancer atm.. both air and ground. so all these early and cold war stuff are so cool... i would say the game is really fun in low tier - mid tier. Russia is always fun because of all the wierd tanks it has
I do really wish there would be an update that didnt add a single vehicle, It focused more on say, bigger maps, or better maps, fixing problems, adding more weaponry, We dont need vehicles every update And if players are going to beg profusely for something to be added Focus an update on something new, not in a vehicle sense, but like, an oddball way Focus an update on some of the guided aeapons of ww2 and have them added to some of the planes Or give some of the vehicles a modification to add something Maybe some of the german tanks can trade out smoke grenades for normal grenades, just somethin Add cruise missiles for an update Something like that.
T-80BVM mod. 2023 is desperately needed for the T-80 line. I would have much prefered to hear the 2S14 Zhalo-S coming, a prototype wheeled tank destroyer which mounted a turret carrying an experimental high velocity 85mm cannon. I am happy to see the Object 430's tho. Hope to see a Object 187 as an event vehicle or premium in the future, as well.
Because it doesn't exist...what do you want? A patriot TEL system? US has a lack of AA systems. All they use is SAM systems which arent being implemented in ground in WT at all. Closest you'll get is the AA version of the bradley.

Well great! because they have the Best MBT’s in the game too, with trolling armor and insane spawl and trolling internal modules. Oh and did i mention, because you cant get aircraft in the sky, they spawn SU-25’s that can shoot you from outside the radar distance of all of your SPAA and can literally only be delt with by other aircraft? Be a Russian player: -Best MBT’s due to trolling armor and modules -If you get shot in the ammo, sometimes it does nothing -ERA works against mbt’s sometimes -Best AA due to range and missile guidance being greater than most weapon system engagement ranges -Because no other team can get aircraft up or SPAA in range, best CAS that can shoot fire and forget and guided missiles at you from 40km Players: “OH WE NEED MORE TANKS AND MORE ADVANCED STUFF BECAUSE WE SUFFER AND GERMANY HAVE A LEOPARD 2a7 THAT IS TOO GOOD. PLZ PAPI GAIJIN HERE IS A MS PAINT ON HOW ADDING THE RUSSIAN LAZER SATELLITE IS A GOOD IDEA” Gaijin: “Sure have a T90-m and a T-80 with roof protection and armor that is great against MBT’s! @@viktoriyaserebryakov2755 asking them not to add stuff other nations wont have something equal to in the first place would be a good start. if gaijin gave america something like patriot, and left russia with the pantsir, it would be just as broken and unbalanced and i’d be calling for the same sort of changes. If you are going to add something, make sure every team has something equivalent to it, or it simply isnt balanced. If you cant do that, just dont add it. and if you keep adding blatantly broken things to the same team over and over again knowing other teams have nothing that can match it, that is clear faveroutism and bias. edit: if the KA-50’s damage model was correct to real life, it wouldnt be able to fly without a tail either, because the tail section is where the majority of the electronics and avionics are stored including wiring and fuse boxes for the countermeasure systems, MFD’s and ECU’s. no tail means no electronics. no electronics means no ECU’s, no ECU’s means no engine management. the engine would most likely lose timing and essentially self destruct ((which there is evidence of happening when a starstreak missile split the tail off one.))

@@luotiisataa3124 okay, factually russia has lost over 3000 tanks. Their casualties are estimated at close to a hundred thousand if not more by now, they are currently stalemated with a country 1/10th their size both economically and militarily. Their “air force” is grounded because they cant figure out what SEAD means, and they have lost their newest and best ship to a country without a navy. Their ka-50/52 attack helicopters cannot reliably target anything beyond 5km and if they get within that distance they’re getting drilled by manpads (lolw in game they can eat multiple SPAA missiles and be fine). Depends on the variant. They still build BVMs based on old BVs and those still get the Sosna-U sight. However they seem to also he upgrading old T-80Bs and those only get the cheaper thermals. Same for the T-72 upgrades where you could see both Sosna-U equipped and the other cheaper sight equipped tanks leaving the factories. Also the T-80 has 10 reverse and not 4.
