As an autistic flag enthusiast you can't comprehend the emotion I havw by seeing both the Russian Federation's, the Soviet Union's and the Russian Empire's flags majestically waving next to eachother.
Russia gets it. Other countries shun their past iterations without realising that a state is simply a representative body for the people. This is the true meaning for why they show these flags lined up, it's a demonstration of the Russian NATION, a celebration of its people and the collective character.
The Russia I love is the Russia of Gogol, Dostoyevsky, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Baryshnikov, and Nureyev. And I'm a Canadian born in the Philippines!!
Some small context: Russia is celebrating the 320th Anniversary of St. Petersburg, Russia's cultural center that once was called Leningrad to the Soviets and was once Russia's Capital during the Era of the Tsars.
Slava Russia, Slava the great Soviet Union. Coming from a Mexican. A Mexican that feels the patriotism every morning as I hear this anthem to begin my day. A Mexican who has your double headed eagle tattooed on my chest. God , I was born in the wrong country, on of the things I must do before I perish is attend a victory day parade at Red Square. Much respect for you people🫡🇷🇺🇲🇽
The Russian national anthem is the best. Russians are very patriotic and proud of their country. They have a great leader who loves his country. I hope to visit Russia someday. Much respect and support from the US with love ❤
