First, the US got rid of the Ukrainian government in Maidan... Then the Maidan Government took the lives of about 15,000 Russian-speakint people before 2022. Finally, they made an agreement to set up US bases all over Ukraine. But Russia just attacked first. Now the US is losing its war because the Russians better at chess in their hood... Now the US wants out, and it has lost its world hegemony in Ukraine... That's what's really going on.

Kharkiv is 1 million + city. Bahmut was 70k city and took 5 months and huge losses. Imagine, what it will take to captured Kharkiv.

They also threw there best units into Bakhmut (to get beaten by literal ex cons) Kharkov will be defended by conscripts, its also bigger - so Ukrainian forces will be spread out. And Kharkov isnt fotified like Bakhmut was. Not saying itll be easy, but as Ukrainian lines in the south and east collapse they are going to struggle to hold anything. Also, Russian losses (which were a lot lower than Ukraines) in Bakhmut were prisoners, not front line Russian troops.

It doesn't make sense for Russia to take Kharkov when they are winning key battles in the Donetsk oblast. They surprised the Ukranians in the north and tricked them into thinking they were going to start a major offensive on Kharkov, and this effectively stretched the already weakened Ukranian defenses towards Kharkov, leaving the forces even more defenseless in the Donetsk oblast. While Ukraine prepares for an assault on Kharkov, Russia is going to take Chasiv Yar. Russians are playing chess while Zelensky is playing snakes and ladders. 😂

Ukraine is losing so many men they are risking their lives and drowning in rivers to escape from Ukraine. Russian victory is not a question of if, but when.

I agree, the first russian assault had elements of 4 divisions and not its 2 divisions. Its not enough but enough but these coukd be just first line troops and an occupation force might be assembling. The city is bigger than Kherson and its population is highly hostile to russians so they have to expect a brutal occupation and partisan activity

Exactly Obama knew not to get into this because he understood that Russia had "escalatory dominance" - it would always be far more committed to the war than the US because it matters much more to Russia. NATO knew Putin would invade in Dec 21. They were offered a simple neutrality deal for peace, which they rejected because they were determined to expand NATO even at the cost of a war in Ukraine. Btw I'm not just saying this. It was spelled out in a speech by Jens Stoltenberg - the head of NATO! It was so candid it was quite shocking that he would admit it. The BBC/Mediazona's figures (regarded as the most accurate) place Russias losses very low. a hundred on a bad day, way less normally - and being those outlets are heavily pro-Ukrainian they are likely way to high at that. The big numbers are from the same places that tell us Russia blew up nordstream, Russia is out of missiles, Putin is terminally ill etc.
