"Russia, Russia, Lay That Missile Down!" is a american song made by Prescott Reed and that talks about the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis when to retaliate the US nuclear bombs in Italy and Turkey ther Soviets put nuclear bombs in Cuba that could easily destroy major US cities such as Miami or Atlanta, in the end the soviets agreed to remove their missiles from Cuba if the US did the same to their missiles in Turkey and Italy.
Lyrics in English:
Russia, Russia, lay that missile down
Russia, Russia, must you always frown?
Don't get tough now, that's enough now
Russia, Russia, lay that missile down
Russia, Russia, love that samovar
And your blintzes, borscht and caviar
And your music, and your dancing
Russia, Russia, lay that missile down
We'll compete with you in any sport
Be glad to meet with you and have a snort
Come to a movie, or a ballgame
And listen to Van Cliburn when he plays Tchaikovsky
Russia, Russia, lay that missile down
Come and visit us in our hometown
Have some Wheaties, don't be meanies
Russia, Russia, lay that missile down
We'll compete with you in any sport
Be glad to meet with you and have a snort
Come to a movie, or a ballgame
And listen to Van Cliburn when he plays Tchaikovsky
Russia, Russia, lay that missile down
Come and visit us in our hometown
Have some Wheaties, don't be meanies
RUSSIA, RUSSIA, LAY THAT MISSILE DOWN!
