RUSSIA'S NEW GENERATION STRATEGIC BOMBER - PAK DA
Russia began construction of the first experimental unit called a prospective flight system for long-range flights, or a new era strategic bomber codenamed 'PAK DA'. This aircraft will be able to use intercontinental nuclear missiles without leaving Russian territory.
The PAK DA engine is reportedly built according to a flying wing scheme or without a tail section and the fuselage is separate from the wings. This aircraft is capable of flying at subsonic speeds of up to 1,190 kilometers per hour, slower than the speed of the Russian air force Tu-160 strategic bomber that it will replace.
