My grandfather died on a beach in Normady. I cry every time I hear the Russian National Anthem.
My great grandfather fought in Normandy, helping the allied forces. However on my Finnish side, my distant relatives were fighting off both the Russians and Nazis. Today I'm just a simple Finnish boy from Jersey. Despite what our history is, we are both American from another motherland. God bless you and your slavic people

The first time I heard this song was a few years ago when I watched a proud Vladimir Putin singing with many Russian people in a stadium. I was floored by its striking beauty and the love on the faces of the Russian citizens. This video helps me grasp the heart of this song. I am going to learn to sing it in the Russian language. These are not Soviet lyrics. The song is the same as the Soviet anthem but these lyrics are derived from the current Russian Federations lyrics which were written in 2000. The Soviet Anthems lyrics are all about the Party and Lennin, not about the Russian land and people.

This is pretty great. I remember liking to watch the Olympics on TV because they would play all the national anthems of countries when they would give a gold medal (they don't show it anymore!) and i always thought the Russian anthem sounded really majestic and great. Canadian one is pretty simple, and we sing it in English and French (totally différent lyrics lol). I learned the American anthem (which is quite complicated) by watching hockey. Also one time i attempted to translate a Japanese song in English and sing it... It has parts in English i then translated to Japanese too lol. Hope i didnt butcher it. It was Endless Rain by X Japan.

Russia has a bad rep most of the time and some of them are kinda true, but something I can´t deny after watching this is that without a doubt they have a beautiful anthem that shows no matter what other countries say about them, they a re very proud of being part of their country, all I can say is Поздравляю, сэр

It's a stirring and powerful tune, but the lyrics are not quite a snappy as the old Soviet anthem. That said, it's better than the US national anthem, "My Country 'Tis of Thee", which people have been trying to upgrade for decades now.

Take a bribe take a bullet. I live in Canada, my parents donated I think 100 grand to Trudeau either 100 or 150, it’s been a while. Somehow they didn’t get in trouble for election laws. Such as the max donation.
