During the build-up to its invasion of Ukraine, Russia falsely accused Ukraine of genocide against Russian speakers in the Donbas region. Ukraine fought a war against Russian proxy forces in the Donbas War from 2014 to 2022. Russia's president Vladimir Putin used this claim of genocide to justify the invasion of Ukraine. There is no evidence to support the allegation and it has been widely rejected. Following the invasion, Ukraine brought a case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to challenge Russia's accusation. During the proceedings of Ukraine v. Russian Federation, the ICJ said it had found no evidence of genocide. The International Association of Genocide Scholars also rejected Russia's accusation. Further reports by 30 legal and genocide scholars warned that Russia's accusations are part of the "accusation in a mirror" technique, ultimately revealing the Russian incitement to commit genocide against Ukrainians.

Yes, the Crimean Tatars paid for their collaboration with Hitler by deportation. Although of course not all of them served the Germans, however quite a large percentage did. My father was a teenager during the German occupation, but when the Red Army began to liberate Crimea, he and all his classmates (except the Tatars) were drafted and sent to assault Sevastopol. Only my father survived from his entire school class. Well, obviously, except for the Tatars, who were so ruthlessly deported by Stalin to warm and well-fed Uzbekistan, which did not know war. From where more Tatars returned to Crimea than had once left.

All this hate towards Russians is not the way to end this dreadful conflict which is nothing to do with freedom ,democracy or territory . ukraine has been duped into a ultranationalist identity crisis by uncle sam and the cia playbook of color revolutions which has then been escalated to a hateful war between two east slavic countries who share blood,genes,and language .
