Great video!! It would have been great to speak more on the Caucasion republics, Adygea doesn't get any mention. Kabardino is like Dagestan difference and could be inlcluded in the Turkic segment. Also a bit more info on Ossetian (Iranic) would have been great
What makes the Russian Republics of Dagestan, Chechnya, Tatarstan etc. different from the former Soviet republics of Ukraine, Georgia, the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, Kazakhstan etc.?
weren''t tthe baltic sates, Belarus, ukraine, Moldova, georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan Turmenistanistan and Kyrgistan provinces of the Sovit Union before it broke up?
@@67nairb officially they were equal to the russian sfsr (now the russian federation) but in practice yeah they were basically what the republics are now

В видео об этом говорили, но ладно. Округ на ваши языки можно перевести как дистрикт. Это территория, формально входящая в состав другого субъекта, наделëнная экономической самостоятельностью, на которой проживает определённое национальное меньшинство (ненцы, ханты, манси, чукчи). Единственное исключение - Чукотский округ, который с 1992 года является полностью самостоятельным субъектом РФ.
