I live in WV & rust is bad here, especially cab corners, beds etc. Its not uncommon to see a couple year old car or truck showing signs of rust. Not saying its the worst here but its not the greatest for vehicles either lol
When you and your wife both start to work from home and she finds out that really all you do everyday when you’re at work is check your email occasionally, make up some Bull 💩 response, and then go back to watching Rabbit and VINWiki videos...” “Really? They pay you how much to do this?” “Babe, this is important work. Keeps your a$$ in JCPenney doesn’t it?” She didn’t get it.
Haaaaaa! That was awesome! I usually come back and watch the comments after a couple days. it’s great entertainment! Wait... wife is yellin at me “what the F are you doin out there?!” Gotta go boys! She’s higher up than JC! Just sayin
My dad died in January of this year didn't leave me much more than a yard full of cars and trucks. His 97excab is gonna get rebuilt in memory sure I've got a 64 panel burban and a 49 coe he left me too but he was always so proud of his blue chameleon OBS only truck he ever paid anybody else to do work on original motor lasted about 2mo more than dad (nearly 400k). It had 3 trans rebuilds and half a dozen fuel pumps and a ugly set of eagle 15x10s that I hated but might just keep for pop's memories it ain't the truck it what it means to you don't ever look down on a man for the truck he drives because you don't know how he came to have it
I’m about 60 miles north of Pigeon Forge down the road from Bristol. Love some rod runs. Your videos are great and the stories you tell are awesome. They’ve inspired me to do better. But I have to say man you’ve lived a helluva life.
Cool!! This gives me a truck to look forward to. I have a chance to do a flip. 97 Chevy K1500. 193,400 Miles. No rust in the panels, surface rust on the frame. $700. I got the truck. Going to clean it up. The body is straight, everything works almost. Hood thingy inside the cab doesn’t work. Ordered a new one from CarsPlus for $6.75
Had one new in 94, body dropped and slammed it on big wheels around 99. I sold it in 04 and it was four linked with air shortly after. It still has og paint but the original graphics were replaced with die cut vinyl. It's been in a barn for at least 10 years at this point. It was supposed to come back out this show season but covid stopped that.
Looking forward to seeing all of the progress and very cool for you to go through the costs and everything that is involved with doing something like this.
Hell beiin honest U can do it even cheaper than what rabbit does lol...jus rabbit is actually honest and buys new stuff if u're willing to buy used stuff u can prob do it for 1k less
This is definitely giving me some inspiration, for my 89 single cab, Step side, 4 wheel drive chevrolet. My plan is to build a custom idea ive had for years. I always wanted to build an Iroc Truck.
@@andrew_ltu "Mishka" is the nickname of my wife, lol. The Eastern European women are horrified to hear it at first, but then Lena "That's my character. You want to mess with a bear? I will tear you up." Same woman is also a doctor, works at a prestigious university. Total head trip
Love the videos! Doing up my 94 GMC C3500 right now. It's my favorite of my 14 vehicles. Giving the 454 about 200 more horsepower. Super excited to cruise it around!
Rabbit says "you gotta be looking for rust on a 1993 truck" like we should be surprised. Rabbit, you gotta be looking for rust on a 2014 truck up here in the rust belt! Haha!
We are the same age so I remember in the 90’s when these trucks came out. It makes me feel really old to think of these as classic trucks. I am surprised it still Looks pretty good. Good luck!
back in the day there was a chrome top available to fit the factory air box along with adding bow tie chrome valve covers dresses up under the hood nice
It's about that time for the video on this touch- up miracle job you're doing to this truck. More than plenty of time has gone by to get it done . I hope it isn't on the back burner , I've been looking forward to seeing the outcome of that semi-neglected pace truck. If I missed it by chance and you've been released the video on it and I have missed it , my apologies just shoot me the title of it so I can have a look.
My FIL has the exact truck you've got in this video. Pace car paint and all. 430k miles on the original engine and 27 years of Michigan salt winters. BTW he's a cabinet maker too. So its hauled tools and lumber non stop since birth. He had another contractor slam a bobcat into it sliding down a slippery driveway 5 or so winters ago. Rough your truck is not haha
The vehicle that started my vehicle obsession was a 93 rcsb gmc SLX. I would love to talk gm trucks with you! I’m impressed you knew about the bumper not many people do.
These trucks do come up but you have to look around, my dad just got a 93 obs ext cab 4x4 lifted with 70k miles for $3k! It’s m but needs paint. Grandpa driven and his old lady didn’t have it for sale, it was just parked and she only drove it every now and then.
My favorite gmt400 is the K2500/k3500 Regular cab models with either a 350/454 but fully loaded sle trim or silverado trim. I still have my 91 k2500's almost fully loaded window sticker.
Not a fan of the latest update RU-vid did for its app. I am no longer receiving my notifications, Which translates to me nearly missing a new RUC video. On a happier note: I always loved those trucks. Back when I was in auto tech a boy drove one in a couple of times claiming it was his dad’s. I never knew they were quite that rare, definitely a good looking truck. Thanks for the video #RabbitForWorldPresident
I guess I'm lucky. I have a 97 1500 with no rust and only a couple minor dents. Needs a paint job and interior but at 280,000 miles she starts and works every day!!
Is it bad that I’m the guy that’d do the air cleaner and flowmasters? 😅 Also we know you’re lyin Rabbit! SC boys drop the ass and stick up the front of their trucks 🤣
I need them morning dew wipers for my truck. 1991 Nissan Hardbody D21. Truth be told I need all the weather stripping for it and haven’t been able to find it.
Wicked inspired to get the ole 95 xcab out of the ditch and get her back to jealously status! Thanks Rabb! Btw, it’s been awhile, where is this beauty now?
You can build a obs cheap and with you own spin on it and still hold its value. OG is all good in all but unless its 100% og low mileage and perfect there isn't nothing wrong with going after market with your own touches. Paint will be the big one I'm sure he know some people tho
Shop next door to me at work had a mechanic who bought one cheap. Truck was in nice shape. He used it to scrap with, totally destroyed it. I offered him double what he paid when he bought it. He of course said no and just beat the hell out of it until it was dead.
I just picked up a 1989 k 1500 4x4 for a decent price it needs alot of work but has good running gear..i was listening when you said there coming up...parts are cheap
"Gotta look for rust in a 93 truck". We gotta worry about it on 2015 right past north wilkesboro. Did they fix the dip in the left lane that bottoms your suspension out?
Me and my brother sold a viper engine to Boris. He was supposed to put it in a truck for the hot rod power tour. That was over 2 years ago, so I guess his plans fell through. We never had the engine running and Boris knew that when we sold it to him, so I guess it ended up being a bad engine
Hey rabbit there’s a obs 454 ss truck about 45 minutes from Greenville that is for sale. It’s been there on the side of the road for about 2 months now
I have a old man who has a pace truck that looks just like it did when it left the lot back in 93. He brings it in for state inspection ever year I always thought it was a clean truck but I never though it would be worth anymore then any other clean short bed single cab truck from the 90’s next time he comes in I might have to check his temperature on selling it. But then again I have been trying to buy his 87 GN he bought brand new that only has 65,000 for the past 10 years and he will never throw a number at me
Pretty decent truck ... If you're in it for less than 15 you stole it..... Been looking at them for a year ... A good detail job wheels, 25 to 30 .. my buddy has some pristine 90s collectibles B&J Auto Sales Morganton, NC . Brandon Clontz owner he has a 93 Pace car with the plastic still on it . 92 model Cobra prototype with Marti report.. I say mention my name so I could get a finders fee but he'd be like man we friends 😂😂
