I have a hard time believing that's 120mm mortar fire because holy crap that was extremely accurate shooting and I'm surprised that could penetrate the tank even on top. But it's clearly some type of mortar or artillery.
@@RetroFotoHouse 120mm gun, or a howitzer I can understand, but when I hear "120mm mortar", I think of the infantry-portable weapon systems using a projectile not much bigger than a forearm. Even if bigger than the 81s, or big enough to require towing to move around quickly, it's not something I imagined capable of slamming hard enough into the plating of an armored vehicle and defeating it, much less a modern, sealed tank. Also not something I thought would be used, even if possible, on such a direct target. Usually you fire a mortar in a barrage to deter or clear out infantry, maybe shellshock or plumes of debris to slow or temporarily stop an advancing foe. Landing such a precise, direct hit is wild.
@@RetroFotoHouseno it can’t. No shaped charge. Mortar rounds are shrapnel heavy rounds. They aren’t meant to destroy armored biheclses. They aren’t accurate enough either.
0:34 looks like the guy on the back took a direct hit and what remained of his body landed on the street by the arrows. I counted what looked like 6 bodies and couldn't find the guy that escaped in the last image.
Are you sure these are 120mm mortars doing this? Indirect fire, whether walked onto a target or fire for effect on a pre-planned target reference point (TRP), tends to be an area effect weapon. The MBT takes a direct hit off the bat while on the move (hard to do with IDF), takes another direct hit which throws its track and immobilizes it, and then takes two more direct hits. I think this MBT is being engaged by direct fire anti-armor weapons.
it is possible they used a kind of AP shell for anti tank, but even HE would still over pressure the tank killing or injuring its crew, or setting of ammo.

I imagine every time how the family and the friends of a soldier will feel after a loss. I only wish people could live in peace one day and not in fear of the military strength of a nation. It's just sad that people want to eliminate other people...

@@blur1355 Don't worry no one is debating with you here. For a debate you need two opposing arguments battlingit out with one winning in the end. Its not even a discussion with two opinions shared till both parties think about it. It is the wole world saying. This invasion is a crime against humanity. Those men in the tank signed up for this to potentially happen to them... the civilians their battalion killed, however, did not.
