In today's warfare, technology plays a vital role in boosting one side's effectiveness in battle. Artificial intelligence or AI is a perfect example of this. In the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, AI has proven to be a valuable asset. It acts as a crucial tool for analyzing data, helping operators and soldiers make sense of the massive amount of information coming from different sources on the battlefield.
According to recent reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense on April 14, 2024, the Tor-M2U, an advanced version of the Tor mobile air defense missile system, successfully intercepted and neutralized rockets launched by the American HIMARS and Ukrainian Vilkha Multiple Launch Rocket Systems. This accomplishment is credited to a new fire control system of Tor-M2U that utilizes AI algorithms. These advancements make us question; what impact will this technology bring to the war?

Yes, I thought about that too. Air defense systems with an efficiency of 19% simply should not be in the war. It seems that this figure was suggested by Ukrainian "experts".

Yes, I agree. As the Russian Federation airdefences have been very effective...and statistically are rated as far ahead of all western ones, including of course the Zelensky hodge-podge airdefences, often going to ww2 standards. And the US Patriot system has been exposed, so many times in Ukraine, as very old ineffective and easy to destroy as it's so bulky and difficult to move away quickly and hide well. That's why the Russian Federation forces don't consider the Patriots, a real challenge...and actually encourage the Zelensky mob to get more of these old systems. And as for the European airdefences, from France and Germany.. they are of unknown quality and effectiveness, as the Europeans hate to expose them to the best Airforce in the world, ie. The Russian Federation Airforce. Europe sees the damage the Russian Federation Airforce is inflicting on on the US equipment, so they don't want the Russian military to learn about their equipment... that's why all these European promises for military equipment to Zelensky, are pushed back to as far as 2028, as delivery date. What a joke...and faulted promise, as by 2028, the Zelensky régime would be no more...and Ukraine would be into the Russian Federation geopolitical zone for at least 3-4 years. That's a promise on the never ever.... unless, the Europeans deliver their 'contract', directly to Moscow... hahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@darknesstrembles3773 The propaganda that imprinted us with that wrong picture of Russia and Russians is the very reason we are doomed. We are losing on ALL fronts. Militarily, economically, and culturally. Our MIC is nothing but a money grab and can't produce 1/5 of what Russia is producing and to 10 times the price, and Russia has no problem beating our hardware. All western countries and citizens are up to our eyeballs in debt. And the world sees us as nothing but bullies. Hence why all countries what to join BRICS. We better wake up.

To add: "The Russian Federation Navy is highly disciplined and is the most advanced modern Navy in the world." That's a statement from Nato high ranking officers. Not just one odd character...but 12 high ranking Nato officers. And is the actual truth, when we look at the largest submarine armed Navy...where most subs are nuclear powered and nuclear capable armed...and when we look in detail the Russian modern fleet of destroyers..one of the largest in the world. The Russians don't invest in aircraft huge ships carriers...as the Russian Federation isn't a Colonial power, where these craft are used, and not good, not practical for any other military purpose...as they are so visible, so big, so easy to hit and sink... even by third world navies.

сам служил на флоте во времена ссср и по моим ощущениям все потери Российского флота начиная с крейсера Москва 99% из за распиздяйства и недооценке противника. в ссср, в мирное время, находясь на базе корабли поочередно несли вахту ПВО, выставлялась противодиверсионная вахта и т.д. а сейчас флот круизных лайнеров.

This system is for short range defense. Russia needs the S300, S400 system for long range defense and this system for short range. If a missile or drone gets through the long range defense, this system is supposed to take care of it. You need as many to take care of Ukraine's missiles and drones. They have limited western missiles and so far Russia has been able to take down most of them by jamming their GPS guidance without using air defenses. .

It's a new system. And as you say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Most of Ukraine's GPS guided western missiles are jammed by Russia without the need to use the air defenses. There are always a few that get through the system, with massive targeting help from the US, of course. The 2 early warning long range radars were very unexpected by Russia and most of the world, as that is a very dangerous escalation by the US and brought us very close to a nuclear war. It was very stupid and very dangerous and we should thank Russia for being calm about it and not sending missiles toward NATO's long range radar stations. Unfortunately most westerners have not waken up to our dangerous escalation of this war and how close we are to total annihilation. This is no joke.

It helps the adversary locate where the valuable assets are. HIMARS can shoot and scoot. The mobile defense gotta hang out with the valuable assets.

TOR-M1 + 9A331 Target Envelope: - Minimum distance: 100 m - 2,000 m -- Maximum distance: ~12,000 meters - Altitude = From 10 meters - up to 6,000 meters Stiner (MANPADs) can engage jets at altitude: ≤ 5,000 m and RANGE: ≤ 8,000 m So I hardly think a truck mounted missile would have a smaller envelope.

Yeah, S400 is not appropriate for defending itself from JDAMs, so it is not fault of the S-300 but most lilely they had some Pantsir systems protecting it and those are the ones to blame i'd say Himars used to get in a lot as well when they were introduced in the conflict, and so did the Kinzhal took a Patriot in Kyiv, but the air defence systems adapt to new threats through software updates and new data

Oh yeah and when this is integrated into s400 s500 pantsir and manpad ground stations the Russian air defence is unbeatable and it’s why Americans think twice about even flying satellites over Russian territory there is nothing that they cannot touch
