Hello Ivan, thank you for sharing your experience in your life. I am 90 years old and lived during world war 2 in Germany and found out how senseless wars are. After the war I moved to America where I am happier. I do not think, that ordinary Americans hate ordinary Russians - we all want to live in peace with everybody in this world and should convince our governments to think the same.
Hello Ivan. Thank you for sharing. This is the second time I write a comment. This time I will subscribe because I can understand you better. I don't watch every video because the food and cars are not interesting for me. I am just glad that you are indeed a diplomat. 😊. I wish you the best even if I really don't like your country anymore. I learned the language in the past. I visited the country. I am so sad about this craziness.
God Bless You ,Wow You’ve been through a lot!! I too do not believe in war just Love,Peace and God, I live in USA and study a lot about history,You have seen so much, and lived through it,You should start your own RU-vid Channel and share what You have seen and been through 🙂 take care God Bless !
Yup, I see that here too, in Canada. I have a neutral perspective on ordinary Russian people. We live in dangerous times. The economy is already at the brink of recession. It wouldn't take much to tip that scale towards chaos.
We, in Seattle Washington, are so privileged to see and hear from an incredible person from Russia. Hope and pray there are many more humans like yourself in your country. ❤
I love how your dialect slips from Russian to Irish and back. It's delightful. Thank you for sharing your life with the world. May you find nothing but success and peace.
Excellent! I am an old American from down South living in Shizuoka, Japan. When I say OLD I mean I was of the protest/hippie generation. I whole-heartedly agree with increasing the peace.
You do realize that most people across the world are good people? It is the psychopaths in power and $$$ that divide the world and make it insane as that is how they get their power.
I am an average white American, I am 68. With very little investigation you realize we are all just people. It’s governments that cause all the social disorders.
Ivan I am from wexford in ireland , you sound like a paddy with a Russian twist , the first video I saw of you was the review of macdonalds and the supermarket and I had no idea what you were all about . This video clears up all my questions . All the best yo you and stay safe . Keep up producing good content.
Dude, you are awesome. Do what you do and don't pay attention to the haters. BTW I am a 57 year old American (Polish and Irish), my wife and I adopted our son from Russian in 1998. We spent a few months in Moscow at that time. I wish we could go back and visit again. Your videos help scratch that itch. Thank you my friend. Good life to you.
The so called "Ukraine" formed in 1991 with VERY dubious claims to even its validatity. So its impossible for you to be "of Ukrainian descent". BTE my family is from Kiev.
Ivan, this is your best video so far. I was wondering about some of the things you mentioned and now they are answered. I wish you peace and prosperity and hope that you don't get caught up in the conflict. Russia will need people like you after this is all over to recover. It will take many decades but I hope it becomes part of the wider world in the future. You guys were so close....then.
I agree with this post but I also urge you to get out of Russia as quickly as you can. You’re not safe in Russia now that the old ”Iron Curtain” is coming back. Imagine yourself in Germany back In 1939 while Adolf Hitler was consolidating his power. Would you have stayed knowing what the result will be
Hey Ivan I’m an old guy from California, I didn’t really know what you were about , until you did this show now I have a lot more respect for you just be careful out there .
Excellent vlog, Ivan. I’m so glad to know your story! So fascinating. You are a great person with a big ❤. (Especially for cats!) Your perspective offers great insight for all of us around the world. I’ve enjoyed watching you from your beginning. Keep being you! Thank you and Evelina for being real people!❤
Ivan, I have eight well used ASIC miners if you want them (they heated up the whole house). Watching you over time I had learned bits and pieces of your history, but I really appreciate you being so open with your supporters. I always thought you were a decent person, but now that I have more of the story you have earned my respect even more. Part of what first caught the attention of my wife and I was how much you look like our son (he's a little older than you). As a Dad I feel really sorry for your father, he has missed out on one of the best relationships life has to offer. He has a very remarkable son who most men would be proud to have raised. I can understand why your Irish family took you into their hearts. As for your biological father, I would guess he has some trauma or personal issue that keeps him from being able to maintain a relationship. You are wise in your handling of that situation. We all collect some damage in life. For some people the injury defines them, but people like you are smart enough to put things in perspective and continue building their life. Not only are you caring for yourself and Evelina, but also your Mom and your sister. That's what real men do. We're proud to know you Ivan, if you're ever in the U.S. you're welcome in our home. - R.W. and family
As someone who has been with you from the beginning of this channel, I already know most of this story. I am always impressed by the amount of patience and openness you have with the public, especially for someone your age. You are a good man Ivan, just keep being you.
Talk to these people he grifted off of when he was in turkey. He kept telling everyone it was none of their business when asked about his life in russia. Why is he the only Russian who's not afraid to talk about his country when others are in fear? I dont believe a word hes saying!Never have. I believe that people can make a difference. You have to work hard at what you do no matter what it is in life. Not wanting to work isn't one of them! He lives in Moscow . He has been back since turkey and hasn't worked! One 20k subscribers isn't a lot of money to live off of! He was reported from a lot of followers from his grifting. Taking money from AMERICANS. That's a lot of his followers. Sorry, but I don't and will not believe his BS!
@DeniseDDS Umm, yes, he has! Obviously, you didn't see the comments when he moved back to Russia, and the ones who supported him were very angry with the lies he told! PERIOD!
Your a good man Ivan. Your thankful for your grandparents and your immediate and extended family. Good to here you giving them credit for helping shape you into the man you are.
Love your channel Ivan! You should visit cool or abandoned places in Russia. Old Soviet towns would be interesting too. Would love to see you do more travel stuff!
Hi Ivan, a few weeks ago, I wrote acomment saying that there was more to you than meets the eye. Your english is superb and it is colloquial english. I knew you didn't learn it in only a classroom environment. Your video has affirmed my thoughts. You did get your english in Ireland because I hear your pronunciation of the name "Ireland". Most Irish pronounce it "Aarland" just as you do.😊
I found your channel by accident and after watching a few episodes, I realize what a gem you are. Thanks for sharing your story. I have met a few Russians in my 70 years and came to the realization that Russians and Americans as a people have more in common than we would like to admit. It's the governments that mess everything up. Wishing you all the best and hoping that you stay safe. 👍
Thank you for sharing your story; you are a shining example of someone who never let obstacles stand in your path to achieve your goals. Blessings to you, your family, Evelina, and your sweet cats!
About your father. My father was in State prison (US) for 10 years from when I turned 3 to age 13. It's a bit different because my father actually did want to interact with me, but it wasn't really until I was age 14 but let me tell you it wasn't easy. I'm glad you had a proper father figure, I did not have that until I was older..my stepfather was not a good man. It did take it's toll on me and it took a while before I leveled out. You did good. People are proud of me, well I am proud of you for what that is worth.
I really enjoyed hearing your story. Some of it I had picked up along the way because I have followed your channel for awhile...but you filled in a few blanks. You've lived a very interesting life. You were fortunate to grow up with such a great family in Ireland. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you Ivan for sharing alittle about yourself. I often wondered about your mom and Dad but would never pry into your personal life. I would like to say that it takes more to being a father than just the title. It's your father's loss. If people walk away from you...let them walk. They weren't meant to be apart of your life. Your a wonderful person with the kindest soul. I admire you for just...being...you! I'm happy I came across your channel. From miles and miles away...you touched my heart. Evelina is also a kind soul. Enjoy watching you both! ❤❤❤😊
I am with Ukrainian women and children here. They are sad and their homes are being bombed. My Ukrainian friend also has her father here. He has had to travel from Ukraine across Europe because of the bombs raining down on his home. He is suffering from Parkinson's disease and is very delicate. I don't hate anyone but understand the suffering that is being caused by this barbarianism. Putin is sending in the weakest troops who are the inexperienced soldiers with spotters to draw enemy fire . They are being mown down as there's no artillery protection for them. The elite troops can then take action and battle with the Ukrainians. At Avdivka alone the death toll for Russian troops is above 40,000 .I have not heard numbers for a couple of days. Going on for 400,000 dead Russian soldiers dead since the beginning of this "Special Operation". Avdivka is still not in Russian hands!!! In St Petersburg 3000 migrant workers were rounded up . 600 were illegal. They were sent away to who knows where. I can see why so much bitterness is beginning to be felt towards people, millions of them, allow this to go on.
@gloriahoulihan8717 🙏❤️ I pray for peace. I truly believe that in all countries there are good people that don't want to be defined as to who they are...no matter what country they live in, by their governments. I prayer for all men, women and children in Ukraine who have endured horrific, unimaginable living conditions from this war.❤️🙏
I think people are being a little brainwashed into sending Ivan money in his live streams. He’s been given a great start and fantastic opportunities. He went to school overseas, owns an apartment in the capital city at the age of 24, eats out everyday and is now living his grandparents lovely country cabin. He’s managed to turn it into a sad story and lots of people donate on his live streams. I wish him all the best making money from his videos and adverts but he seems to have brainwashed people into donating lots of money.
Hi Ivan, you are a good story teller. I had to laugh when you said you only knew how to order a milkshake in English when you were in Ireland … why doesn’t that surprise me! lol! Your English is excellent with only a slight accent. You are a survivor and will do well in life. Life is tough and scary at times especially during these times but you never give up. You know what you like to do and what your strengths are - you and Evelina are a great team. Always be kind and supportive to each other as you are now. Thanks for sharing your history. I love your honesty - one of your best qualities. Praying that God will bless and protect you both. Love from Canada ❤️🇨🇦🙏
Hey Ivan, I'm SOOOO pleased with your communications and interview with my other Favourite RU-vidr OS (Operator Starksky). I was about to Comment about you on his channel, but you guts beat me to it. LOVE YOU BOTH 💞
You do you Ivan! You sound like a great person. Nobody likes what is going on in Ukraine but it's not your fault. Keep up the good work and much success to you. Mike From America.
Very interesting story, perhaps a short bio on your home info may attract more subs? You are one of the best English speaking foreigner without an accent that I have heard! Mike England
Thank you for pouring your heart out Ivan, I wish you continued success in 2024 and in God's good time, this damn war will end and you and Evelina will move on to bigger and better things. You have built a network of friends all over the world and some day soon, that effort will pay off... God bless you and Evelina, always...
Great video Ivan, I have been subbed for a few months and enjoy your content, I’m glad you and Evelina and your Cat’s got out of Russia, one of the things I really like about you, is you don’t exploit your girlfriend for views, and you are a gentleman with her, I’m nearly 60 and my Dad was a gentleman we were working class too, and even though my parents divorced when I was 5, they stayed in contact for my Sister and I. I wish you all the success in the world. My favourite country is Thailand, so even though I haven’t ever been to Pattaya I’m not a bar kind of guy as I don’t drink, and my Soulmate was Scottish I lost her 2.5yrs ago to cancer, so we would meet up in Sth east Asia all the time as it was sort of halfway between Scotland and Australia. I will keep watching as I’m glad you escaped Putin’s war.
Hi Ivan, my name is Joe, nice to meet you bro. Pretty cool life story and you cleared up a lot of questions I had about your person. Hopefully the crazy times in Russia will end soon... A short summary of my life, I was born and raised in America. At age 21 I joined the army (cause I couldn't find work), and was sent to Germany. Needless to say, I met my wife in Germany 87' and have been here since so I can relate to your living and learning different ways of life and learning how to appreciate what different countries have to offer ;)
Hi Ivan, i am a Canadian that stumbled on one of your videos.., i have to say i had to look up your channel and start looking at the first video you made; from my 52 years of life experience that you are on the path to greatness. Regardless of nationality, Regardless of your father missing on this great story of life you are writting, Regardless of mean worthless comments on here, (mean people are dumping there garbage on others, don’t take any on) Our growing up situation are very similar, yes even in Canada your can grow up bullied because your parents have no means of buying new clothes,,, and if i could go back to a younger me, wich reminds me of you, and tell him one thing, from all the confort of money, a home and great cars i drive would be; YOU GOT THIS. everything is gonna turn out, keep pursuing what comes to mind and never mourn a lost, because that is the way you climb a staircase, not beeing happy with just standing on the same step.
Omg Ivan you have been through a lot. Thank you for sharing all this i know its not really easy to be vulnerable in front of so many people and then everything else happened. You and Evelenia have worked really hard. You both deserve much better then the current situation
1999?! I knew I was old but hot damn lol I graduated High School in 2001. Ivan, I totally understand the biological father issue. Mine left when I was 3 when my Mom divorced him. He had the rights to come visit me and only did once. Then poof - disappeared like a fart in the wind. I did a dna test on one of the websites (not doing a free plug for it) to see if I have siblings etc - nope. But I have some cousins that all don't know their Dads either. Lots of deadbeats. My Mom remarried when I was 5 to an amazing man I call Dad. No one even realizes he's not my biological Dad unless I tell them. Legally adopted me so that my birth certificate says his name. Wouldn't change a thing. As for bridges and how you view the world - me too Ivan, me too. It's one of the biggest conversations I have with my therapist. We're all made of the same stuff. Why have we let ourselves devolve into the state we're in? . . age old question. Good chat Ivan!
Ivan, I'm a retired combat veteran, almost 80 and have lived in many countries. I am also of Finnish descent. There are many Russians living in America. My town has a many Russian-Americans living here. I even belong to both of their Facebook groups. • I think that everyday Russians and Americans would get along great. But, for me, I'm not all that about the current Russian leadership. Hell, I have absolutely no use for my own President and his minions either. • Keep up the good work!
Awesome to hear your story bro. I have a similar story myself at least in having my own businesses and still being in college. Keep it up man we’re here for you.
I only started watching your RU-vid channel a short while ago. Thanks for your unique story and for all your honesty, Ivan. I truly hope the future works out for you and your girlfriend (sorry, forgot name). Your messages are very good ones, and I hope others benefit from your kind hearted spirit, openness and sincerity. You are young and wise, and you are quite funny too. From what I've seen so far, you've faced problems (unlike some who take to drinking, drugs, other bad habits and excuses) and figured out the best solutions in those situations. Good job, and Peace to You and Loved Ones, kind sir! ❤ 😊
Fabulous video. You answered everybody's questions so very well. You are an amazing person having been able to take care of yourself since you were 8!! You and Evelina are a great team. So now I would like to know how did you two meet? Continue what you are doing and follow your passion. I wish every success and happiness for you 2 and Edward in the years to come. Does Edward have any future plans or does he want to work in his father's business?
This was an awesome vlog, Ivan. Probably the most interesting vlog you've produced. I, too, am astounded by your level of maturity. You bring us a window to Russia that we would never be able to see, and it is much appreciated. In fact YOU are much appreciated. (as well as Evelina and that sausage lovin' Eduard). Please continue what you're doing, you do it well and with compassion.
Great story glad your RU-vid channel is blowing up, one of your Car reviews came up as a suggestion while searching for car reviews- good job presenting - showed my girl your videos and she loved them
I'm from Houston, Texas, but I speak Russian and have been to Moscow many times. I was last in Moscow on New Year's 2022. I always found Russian people very kind when you speak face to face. (I don't understand the mean street look.) I think you have an American accent with a little of the Russian thrown in. I would never have guessed you learned English in Ireland. (Except for when you actually say Ireland.) It must be difficult for a young person in Russia now. I hope your career as a RU-vidr is successful and I will always try to give you likes and drop comments to help get you out in RU-vid land. (I already subscribed.) Best of luck Ivan. Ты хороший человек.
I have been watching you because you’re a foodie like me. And I found this older post of you that showed the whereabouts. I could never figure out you got to Ireland, well now I know.. Keep up your good work you do a great job. And now that I have my first 2 kittens I understand why you love your cats so much.
My name is Eddie and I just watched your video and I agree that e We should be one big family... I started watching Ukraine and Russia because of the war. It's so sad that in our day and this time this is happening. My look on Life is that there is good and bad in all. Thank you for sharing your story and showing that there is good. As I see Warriors dying out there is a waste of life.
Ivan, I'm so glad you did this video. I began watching you not long after the conflict started. I did have a lot of questions and skepticism about your past and motives for this channel although I did find them entertaining. I started watching you because I thought you were escaping Russia but when you returned I felt a little betrayed because I subbed to see how and where you were going but I still found the videos interesting enough. I'm quite a bitter older, 56, but I was interested in seeing how this young couple would make out trying to find a new place in the world but your return to Russia was a bit confusing until you explained how expensive it was to live abroad. I have to admit I thought you came from money since you studied in Ireland? I can see from a few other RU-vidrs that they have not been mobilized even though they are in Russia and I hope you never are. I appreciate your honesty in this video and wish you the best.
You are not a traitor to Russia. I used to worry about your safety but then I realized in your very humanistic , likable, humorous , easy way you have shown me despite the sanctions that Russian's live pretty good in a large city. You are doing great PR for Russia. The FSB should be giving you a medal. I'll still pray for your and family's safety against Russians and Americans who don't understand.
Hello sanction Ivan I appreciate you giving us your story in background I think you viewers really respect that from you and get back to me with more good news my brother
Hi Ivan, it’s amazing how inspired and motivated you stay in achieving your goal moving to the USA. We’ve done it almost 30 years ago and never regret it! Good luck and I strongly believe you can do it!
Haven't watched In a little while just got a job and have been spending most of my time doing that. I'm glad to see that you're doing well and as always you're a flipping legend Ivan.
While being bedridden i began searching the internet for you tubers from around the world so i remember you from before Sanctioned Ivan. You have grown up in front of us. Maturity looks good on you. I am hoping things work out for you. Good luck.❤
Bravo, Ivan! Thank you for reminding us that people of goodwill are everywhere, even in the most difficult times of international violence and discord. Increase the peace.
I enjoy watching your ' show', also you're pretty funny. It's very interesting to see Russia from a regular person. I am an American and I think you would do well here. 🇺🇸
1st comment. Being an introvert and passive child, the only two fist fights I had in middle school ended in.. mutual truces where jerks that wanted to prove something picked on me until I showed up after class and put them on the ground (I'm big but my brothers are giants, I don't know how to fight but I know how to brawl). Then we were friendly after that all the way through high school. 2nd comment is don't judge individuals as if they represent their governments. I had a good friendship with a Russian exchange student when I was in middle school. Nobody in school spoke Russian and nobody would give him the time to talk. I was probably his best friend for the 2 years he was there. He only had one other person that even talked to him outside of class. I wish I talked to him more.
Hay Ivan you are a diplomat and a travel agent and food critic have never seen Moscow like you have shown the city the indoors pool and the outdoor skating rink was amazing keep up the good work
Kid’s brains are like sponges. I left Communist Czechoslovakia with my Mom at the age of 14 and a half. We escaped to Austria where we applied for asylum. ( This was in 1978). We stayed at a refugee camp. There were people from all over Easter Europe in the camp; Poles,Czechs,Slovaks,Bulgarians ,Hungarians,Romanians,Jugoslavians. I started learning German,by I also found out that I can understand and speak Polish and Serbo-Croatian. Once we immigrated to the US 8 months later I learned English and within a year I spoke English well enough none could tell I wasn’t born in the US.
Very good posting, it rounds out the picture and is much appreciated. One piece of the puzzle missing, when did Evelina enter you life and what is her background? 😊
Ivan forget about th'm! You're a great person, doing a great job! When you start doing good, people start hating they're just jealous! So, just keep doing what you're doing!
Ivan, I love what you said, and you filled in so many blanks. Not that I really cared but things that I always wondered. I love you for the content that you put out and not for the country that you live in. But that does open up my understanding of the people of your land.
Great video. Really appreciate the background info. Your story is very compelling as a person trying to find your way through all of this mess. Keep making videos, keep your head down and be safe. You remind me of a younger Konstantin Samoilov.
You have had to face more difficulties in your young life than many people ever have to. You have gained strength from people's transgressions against you and have already learnt much. You are a very good and kind man and you and Evelina are wonderful together, and strong. You have a great friendship group and lovely Grandparents. You care for your Mother and Sister, too. All of this is exemplary. You will build your life and once this awful conflict is done, better things will come for you. I wish you the best, always.
You are always really fun to watch!!!! Low key I kind of live vicariously through you and Evelina when you are out with your friends. I moved across the US to Virginia been here for a year and not made a single friend yet. And the stuff you makes me reflect on some of the things I did when I was a little younger. I'm 30 so not much older. I'm still a kid at heart!!! Your content is fun to watch.
