Russian volunteers join Ukraine’s Siberian Battalion to fight against Putin's troops

Some Russian citizens who oppose President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine are taking up arms to fight alongside Ukrainians against their own homeland. These volunteers are part of the Siberian Battalion, a new unit formed last summer and is officially part of Ukraine's armed forces. CNA’s Megumi Lim reports.

Also, men who permanently reside in the territory of another state and have the relevant documents confirming this are entitled to leave. Ukraine has more freedom of press than Russia...Say something negative about Putin and you will be locked away or poisoned. As for opposition parties in Russia, Putin tries his best to silence them also. Your reality is blurred and misinformed.

They were even conscripted from Britain and Ireland last week. Videos online showing Ukrainian recruitment officers going around Irish and English cities and towns.
