only down side is that if the base is that decayed you should be able to see the floors and walls are low on health. if you came across it again and it still looks like that you'd be suspicious. lastly where this is good for making sure that stability is 100% on the outside (amazing thing to do) the floor in the middle isn't. i'd suggest making a small 2x2 on top. people are less likely to check stability of a 2x2 on a raid from the inside. maybe make it look like a starter base that didn't get it's honeycombing done yet. 2x2 in the center twig honeycomb on the outside.

Huge flaw: People are gonna see that and see the floor being 30% stability. This is gonna instantly tell them that's not a foundation block and they will know there is a secret room below. It will fool most but the clans and pros will immediately know

Very nice video Flak. I'm a lil late to the party, just found your channel and I've recently gotten into unique base builds. I'm primarily a True PvE player these days and really enjoy experimenting with different concepts for base builds. This is definitely an interesting concept for PvP, but I also see potential in the concept for a cool PvE base that doesn't end up being the typical larger profile box/tower/honeycomb style. I'm gonna try tweaking this concept and tailor it towards a low profile, compact PvE base. Keep up the good work.

XNR Twisited managed to build a base under a monument. But you can't get in and out cos the patched the glitchy entrance, but the build area still works

I used to do that in Reign of Kings. Make this huge beautiful tower, but the main loot room and where I slept was in the hidden basement. Used double walls at the base so people couldn't glitch view in. They'd break in, take some shit out of furnaces, but could never find the loot.

When you did the staggered levels, does it automatically click in height? Like when you couldn’t build lower, does it snap onto the lower foundation height wise and that’s how you had consistent vertical spacing between your foundations allowing for half walls to be half space if that makes sense

Yes, if the space allows the foundation placement snaps in half intervals. It's very tricky on sloped surfaces though so one needs to really play around

AS Allways nice video! But i tried the chicken and rocket version - unfortunatly i was bad and needed 4 rockets to hit the chickens... well i think you get the point :D But i really like the concept with the research table - but having only 1 space.. well let's see if there is a better method at some point.

It’s a great idea as I’ve done similar builds but when ppl see it they won’t think it’s degraded (I know I wouldn’t) unless u let it degrade b4 putting res in the tc.

You could tweak this better (and exclude the necessity of a second player) by turning this into a stability bunker. I really like this concept though! Nicely done.

I recommend making a random triangle foundation a sealed off with HQM walls if you are on a no decay server do people think you walled it off, nobody would go through HQM just to get to a tc, meanwhile the tc is actually in the underground of your base :)

Problem is that if people look at the foundations they can see some are not foundations since they don't have 100% stability, therefore giving away the exact location of your loot in the process.

People will probably check the health on the walls and floors. they can also discover that the stability is lower than 100% (that means that it's not a foundation). And the method of moving loot is very ineffective and risky, people can run by since it is a "decayed base" and kill you in the process of moving loot. Plus, if they discover that there is something below (for ex. by hearing you) the base, it's very cheap to raid. I personally think that the idea is very interesting but it needs some more tweaking, fixing etc. Keep up the great work and have a good one.

I've been keeping this little exploit for myself for ages for now, i recommend having a friend on the other side so you pass the items through a lot quicker. If you're solo, bad luck.

Tip for anyone doing these sort of bases, make the foundations at the bottom wood. Since they're hidden, it lets you save on stone, metal or whatever you make the rest out of.

The game needs to add proper air-lock tech similar to subnautica, it would open up a whole new world of building design & bases. I guess the only downside is that they would have to limit the depts & amount of dead water there is since you could just take a boat to the end of the world, build a base, and no one would ever find it. Maybe combat this with diving tech / sonar tech that can detect structures underground and then underwater raid tools, maybe an underwater torch or something.

The walls and floor still having full health, the tc having a window, and the deployables not being more towards the center 2x2 makes it a really obvious fake decay- also, if you didn't know, buildings decay from the outside-in now, so the outer walls would be gone before anything inside fully decays, rather than the other way around that you have it. What I would do is let it decay after you build it, then place the tc in the basement and give it enough upkeep for as long as you're playing- this makes the TC secure, makes the walls appear low, and look even less worth raiding.
