Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver Jelly - Product Review (Andy’s Garage: Episode - 114) 

U gotta bag it and leave it over night with da jelly on it the bag prevents the jelly from drying off , at least 24 hours i left my old vice in da bag for 36 hours

I used this product today because I couldn't find the Loctite naval jelly rust dissolver and I was not impressed, before watching this video I thought it was just me, thanks for the video

Wish I had seen this video before buying it to use on an antique bathtub. At least it was cheap price and with several coats, I was able to get the rust removed .

I cut a milk jug, filled with water. And I forgot to clean off the water. Now I have spot rusts on my ricasso on my Scandanavian greatsword. Then me, my brother and nephew. We went to home depot, and I used this on the tust spots on my sword ricasso. Worked!

An extremely rusted metal apply a heavy coat then wrap with Saran Wrap and come back the following day you will see that most if not all of the rust is gone

You actually have to use a lot. This product works real good. You just need to put a very thick coat.

It literally says add water to the surface of the metal and then apply a heavy coat and cover.

I'm curious how applying PB Blaster would fare in comparison. Thanks for doing this video.

Excellent post, Andy. I was thinking about using it on my white Dodge church van that has rust along the top edge and gutter. I see more white vans with peeling paint: GM and Dodge. Ford, not so much. Not quite sure how white paint peels on vans and not cars. Although I've seen a couple of white Buicks that clearly have seen better days. :^) Not having enough money for even Maaco, I'll just steel wool the rust blotches and spray paint over them to keep the rust from going through the metal. Can you repost video of wire brush brushing on the metal ? I like the way it sounds ..maybe just do a video of wire brush sounds .....I really like the way it sounds

I use this product the first time I left it on for 20 minutes. It took some of the rust off but almost done I put it on again for 30 minutes. It still left a lot of rust on the locks. In my opinion this Rust-Oleum jelly is worthless

Wow! It costs 3 times as much now - 6 20/2022.

I'm just wanted to throw it out there but Apple cider vinegar works better than anything else. And it's environmental safe.

NOT impressed . I bought the spray bottle and went nuts cleaning and applying liberally . Did virtually nothing on my back rotors. I mean almost nothing even having left a second coat over night.

Maybe the metal piece was more rusted than you thought.

that rust was too deep into the metal. won't remove pitting

Leave it on for 4-5 hours. It needs time to work.

I am a conservative so I am not going to apply this liberally
