Hello, vinegar and a metal brush are not a bad option, this is a working method. You can also use citric acid, it also works well. This time I connected the file to the positive pin of the power supply, but this should only be done in extreme cases, because the plus is very corrosive to the metal, and we should not leave this process unattended. After the positive contact, I connected it to the minus, the minus is very actively hissing, gurgling, and removes the dark plaque that remained after the positive contact, but most likely if I cleaned 5 different files, then I would use vinegar, periodically pulling them out, to remove rust with a brush.
