The aesthetic value of a car can be seen years later. A 70’s design that still shows nice and balanced lines, from whatever perspective you look at the car, means it was a successful design. Your restoration was a very demanding job but it returned one of the most beautiful cars of its time. Congratulations, you have great skills.

When these SD1 came out in the 70’s it was one of the most exciting times. Great car it’s a miracle you saved it I wouldn’t have thought it possible. I’d like it on original wheels the designers did such a great job.

I have owned 6 SD1`s And I loved all of them.....My Silver Vitesse was the best..... Not sure about your gold wheels.... Still a Very Beautiful restoration..... :-))

As others have commented, the original wheels would look so much nicer but that’s a small detail that can be changed anytime.

Very very valuable now I think (after at least 50k worth of work!) for me it would be the original Vitesse wheels every time..

Great looking car, and what a build, triggers broom? as theres not much original metal left ! ive had 3 sd1, two 2600's and a 3.5 Vanden Plus, lovely cars, and could tow a Caravan at 80Mph + back in the 80's as for the wheels, i do not like the gold, silver would be better or satin black, just my opinion, as its NOT my car
