Looks like a knife I lost in the late 80s as a kid. My Dad, Grandpa & me were hunting morels, when we got back to the truck my dagger was gone. Sad day but we did find a bunch of morels so I guess it was worth it.

Awesome restoration awesome work , but the threaded end cap is a giveaway that it’s not a 1900s knife my friends and I used to buy these at flee markets every summer for like $5 and play with them all summer till they broke or we lost them lol definitely some nostalgia for me !

This reminds me of a boot knife I bought out of the back of Boys Life when I was a scout in the ‘90’s. I loved that knife! Couldn’t take it on any camp outs because it wasn’t regulation. Not sure where I put it, probably lost it in a move.

I had one of these, they were fairly common years ago when i got one, sadly mine was a fairly cheap Chinese thing. I bought it for about £10 at a steam rally/fair when i was around 13yo :) Knife used to fall to bits all the time, the pommel used to come loose very often.

This Dagger isn't actually from the 1960's. These have been made in Pakistan since the 80's and are still available today for under $20 at many flea markets and discount cutlery retailers like BudK. At least it came out looking better than it would have when new, they are just not made or finished well at all.
