Cool review, just seen it being interested in buying a Heckler for smaller surf. What size would you recommend for 6‘3 and 180 lbs? Thanks a lot!

Im 5’7 and 120 lbs, what board height would be best for me if I’m looking at using this board in 1-3 foot waves?

Hey man, I really need some advice. I’m 511/6ft and 170lbs I’m beginner. I’ll be in smaller waves, is a 510 a good choice? I don’t want something too heavy and clunky.

HI Trip great detailed review !!! very interesting and professional. i have a Hustler 6'5 and wonder whether you reccomend ordering a Hecker same size or smaller ?6'4?

Hey Shlomo, the Hustler has more volume per size, if you want extra paddle power go with the same size but if you don't mind the paddle performance of your Hustler, I recommend sizing down to 6'2 or 6'3 around 39/40L. Cheers - Ashlon

There’s a 6’2” Heckler for sale in my area, but I’m worried that the PU construction will be too heavy to whip around in small waves. (I currently ride a 6’2” CI Weirdo Ripper EPS construction) Do you think the extra weight could be hindering? What construction did you demo it in?

Hey Paul, we surfed a PU Heckler. PU boards do weigh more than EPS/Epoxy, Torsion Spring, Carbon Wrap or other new alt technologies but they are still the smoothest riding boards in the water. If you want the ultimate in small wave performance you should go for a Torsion Spring Rusty but if you like the classic surfboard feel go with a PU all the way. Hope this helps - Ashlon

how is this different to the hustler?is it an update to the hustler or are they for different purposes?

+Ryan The Rock Thanks for your question. They are for different purposes, you can think of the Heckler as a fishier, floatier version of the Hustler that's designed to have a little more performance in weaker surf. Hope this helps! -Chris Stellato +real watersports

HELLO AMIGO ! IM INTERMEDIATE WEEKEND SURFER , 39 YEARS ALL , 5"10 TALL , 170 LB, DO YOU THING 5"8 COULD BE GOOD FOR ME? THANKS

Hey Fran, Thanks for posting. At your weight the 5'8 would be a good size for average conditions (waist to head high) If you are surfing small waves or need more paddle power in general sizing up to a 5'9 or '10 would help you have higher wave count. We have a 5'8 and full run of other sizes in stock here www.realwatersports.com/surfing/surfboards/rusty/heckler

Hey Real, I am 6'4, weighing 170lb. My standard smaller wave shortboard is 6'2, I was wondering if you would recommend surfing this smaller than a standard shortboard, maybe 6'0 for me? I am an intermediate/advanced surfer looking for a good all-round board for the 1-4ft days (which is most of the time here). I also don't want to go too big to keep duck diving nice and easy. Any help would be much appreciated! +REAL Watersports

Hey Popkiem101, the Heckler can be sized smaller than your standard shortboard, it carries a lot more volume and paddles really well even in the smaller sizes. At your weight, a 5'11 would be a good volume to maximize fun in 1-4ft waves. Hope this helps! - Ashlon Durham

Hi bro, with 4 fins is good???

So good as a quad, locked in and fast. Doesn't let you throw many aggressive vertical turns, but it bites for some sweeping bottom turns
