my hypothesis is that The mill and case 23 are happening at the same time. Although you are definitely onto something about the time being funky in the lake. Every single time we have heard that reversed robotic voice used, it has always been associated with, what we now know as corrupted souls. And you have figured out there are many corrupted souls. So the most likely player of the mill is another corrupted soul. It can't be Mr.Owl because we know his voice and we look at him out of the window. Also it can't be Mr.crow because at some point he went to pick up Dale in Case 23 As for why would a corrupted soul be there in Mr.crow and Mrs.crow's home, the mill? I assume its like a servent? And about the lady corrupted soul, I think it belongs to the Blonde lady. And during the memory extraction process something went wrong. And if you remember from Seasons, who did Harvey the parrot belong to again? 😉
I liked the theory from another viewer that in the Mill the robot voice was Mr Crow talking to the corrupted soul 🤔 but maybe it is indeed different and in that case...it changes everything! 🤯
I also like the wordplay of the names, Van der Meer is (archaic) Dutch for "from/of the lake". It's a toponymic last name, like Hill, or Rivers in English. So Dale's last name tells us he's from the lake, his first name sounds like the Dutch word deel, which means part. So both combined make it sound like his name is "part of the lake" in Dutch. 😁 The monkeys' claps indicate which monkey you need to click next, they clap 1, 2, or 3 times. It's not a memory game 😊 I really like your theories! The rest of the games will give you more information, but it does stay pretty vague most of the time.
