We recently caught up with Ohio artist Rutty The Goodfella for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our sit down he talked about the importance of moving around to different cities to network, the Youngstown music scene, playing sports when he was younger, having a brain tumor the size of a golf ball removed when he was 18, not being afraid to die after that situation, jumping off the porch when he was 15, details being shot twice in 2009 by somebody he knew, getting shot in the face in a different incident, going to prison shortly afterwards, catching a murder case for the first person that shot him, taking a plea on that case, starting to take music seriously in 2020, his breakthrough single ‘Never Happy”, winning Ohio album of the year in 2022, challenges that come with being an indy artist, his experience working with Icewear Vezzo, the importance of building a catalog, plans for 2024, next 2 singles, upcoming movie about his life, shares advice for the youth, not being a fan of drill music, and much more!
