Li'yu is such a great character. I love how supportive he is of the good guys, and uses his position as the emperor's right hand man to dismantle corruption within the palace. Heck, even when a bad guy is suffering, he's still nice- if a bad woman in the harem is hurt or sick or going into labor, he's still quick to make sure they get help. Far too underrated of a character in this show. I like him in Yanxi/Yingluo as well, the actor that plays him there is HILARIOUS, but he's more likable here.
Li'Yu is definitely one of the best characters. He's so kind and extremely fair. He protects and helps the good guys to the best of his ability and isn't mean to the bad people. He just does what he should.
Because she doesn't like her character or role here. I saw an interview about her as A'rou character and she said it's gonna be the last villain character she will portray. This last drama has given her too much pressure by just playing a badass person.
In the past two years, I've watched this series over a dozen times. A'Ruo, with the exception of the Emperor's betrayal, bothers me most. She betrayed her Mistress because she believed that she kept the Emperor from showing his affection. Living 6 months in that place would tell you, even though he "loved" Ruyi the most, if the Emperor wanted to be with you, not even Ruyi could keep him from the person he wanted. One of the best, even though small moments is how A'Ruo betrayed her Mistress, only to have her own servant betray her. Also, when she was dragged out of the banquet screaming I was framed. Did she really believe the Empress and the rest of them was going to help her?😉
The title should read "The Fall of A'Rou and Justice for Ruyi". Note how A'Rou never earned the loyalty of her servant. Yawan also rose above her background but she promised to take care of her friends who became her maids. And she did until it became profitable to not do so. A'Rou only ever thought of herself. Every time she pushed Ruyi to speak up for herself, it was to ensure that she wasn't the maid of someone who was cast aside. She wanted to be were she could catch the emperor's eye.
I would also say good writing too. Aruo's actress skills is extremely convincing. She played her part well that I develop a side of empathy towards her character but not disregard of what she has done. And that's a good writing because it creates contradiction and another dimension of feelings towards a character, that's how a good writing is done then, Aruo's actress performed that writing so well 👏🏻
I just realized that one of the earliest gifts the Emperor gave A'rou to mark her becoming a concubine, the statue that her servant would not let her destroy, seems to be a statue of Buddha. Giving her a religious artwork of the exemplar of self-denial and righteous living, is a piece of irony and back handed criticism of the highest level.
I feel kinda bad for A’Rou. Even though she is evil, she wasn’t more than a pawn. She wasn’t a mastermind. Yet she’s getting punished for what Jia, Hui and the Empress did
A'Rou is asking for it. Even tho the Emperor asked for her presence every nite but never fuck/bed her, she should let go!? But no, she kept @ it! So her ending is FAIR!
@@CocoCece08 I don't think it would have suited Ruyi's character in the show to rip her nails off. But, I would have loved if she had been given clippers or scissors and trimmed A'ruo's nails down, then held her hand like she does in the show. As if to say "You took my power away, now I take yours away, even if I still care for you"
@@synovelle That would have been a good touch, but I see why they left it with her still having them. It added to the shame of having the appearance of nobility with no honor.
@BlackVenus It's not all that censored, really, though. We see multiple scenes when people are in the torture chamber getting beatened and questioned, especially Suoxin's torture.
@BlackVenus We saw them applying the leg breaker on Suoxin and the bruising of her broken leg afterwards, along with all of the blood coming out of her wounds and mouth. Sure, we don't actually see her legs break or see the majority of the torture, but to say that this show is "heavily censored" is a little exaggerated when compared to what we do end up seeing in the show. Now, romance, kissing, sex, those things are most definitely censored, literally the most we hear is giggling and a prolonged peck ;D I'm not trying to be picky or anything, just more so pointing things out. It's weird that they're fine with all the blood and wounds and whipping, but don't wanna show a little kissy-kiss
@@qwertyasdf9204, ну, ей просто напомнили, что её папа и братья под началом у господина Гао. Потому и попала под влияние и до самого конца выгораживала императрицу и благородную супругу.
@@Die_Frau so does ruyi's father but gao clan would never dare to harm without courting emperor wrath because they knew how much emperor favoured ruyi. Also Arou should know better that any maid who dares to climb her mistress bed without her blessing is bound to terrible ending sooner or later.
