Just installed in my front AC on a 2024 Winnebago Vista. Interior was 94 degrees. Cooled the unit in half the time. Excellent product , strongly recommend.
I just finished my installation today. It took about 90 minutes including watching this video again. I discovered the original installers at Keystone had left tape covering half of both of the ducts leading out to the vents. After cleaning all of the old tape out of there and re-taping everything, I had no leaks or obstructions. The result was a 3 dbl reduction in sound from the a/c 5 ft away. I couldn't measure the precise change in the airflow but, I have to estimate it tripled the output. I imagine just cleaning up the ducts accounted for 1/2 of that. I wish I knew about this years ago. I'm recommending this to all my R/V friends.
I just finished up installing one in my Winnebago Itasca Cambria, with the shallow plenum mount, over my lunch hour, and it was straightforward. I taped it up along the edges, especially in the air return, and the airflow out the vents was impressive. I am looking forward to giving it a try when its actually warm. Customer service is top notch too. I first contacted them a year ago, forgot about it, and when I contacted them again last week, they had all the notes and shipped super promptly.
Can you guys do a video for each A/C unit this is made for? I have a Furrion A/C on a grand design Transcend 265 BH and am having issues with the installation instructions.
Does the new airflow make up for losing the two big open vents in the face plate? I just installed the system and not sure I am getting more cooling airflow over all? Vents work great but that was a lot of air coming out of the two dump vents. Any thoughts you can share on this?
I have two air conditioners in our RV and am removing the RV Airflow kit in the kitchen since the loss of the two large vents in this area cannot keep it cool. I will keep the one up front in our bedroom.
@@cooker2003 Thanks for the input. What I have found is that if you leave for the day come back to the rv and it is 90 degrees inside, it takes well over an hour to cool it down to 76 without those dump valves there as opposed to about 20 minutes before. Once it is cool it will keep it there. Only advantage we have seen is that it is a lot quieter now. You can watch the tv without it being set to screech! I don't feel all the airflow in the ducts that other people talk about either. Works once you get it cooled down and a lot quieter so I guess it was worth the time.
