Some guy on a RU-vid video put a serta futon camper mattress in after taking out the dinette which made the camper more roomy Plus didn't take away from anything because it got storage also underneath. He stated he never used dinning area and always sit outside underneath the awning for dining and had plans of buying a awning room for the awning to have it closed off in which I think is cool.

Looks wonderful! Painting our walls soon, how is it holding up? Is the wood kitchen really wood? Was wanting to sand it down for a light natural look but wasn't sure.

The walls held up great. The lower kitchen cabinets need some touch ups even with us sanding a lot and using primer and polyurethane. They are definitely not real Wood and it’s hard to get paint to stick so prep work is key

Thank you for checking it out. We love the camper. My husband says 3 inches but he wasn’t positive. We had it installed by Camping world for the hitch, sway bars and brake assist. You’re going to love the camper.

Where did you get your coffee mug hooks as well as the little metal racks in the kitchen?

I bought them from Amazon both the black hooks and the metal racks are originally for a bathroom/shower but they looked nice there.

Our 2021 Coleman only has two drawers in the kitchen area so it's wasted space. Will Gander RV correct this?

I don’t think so. It seems the newer versions of this model just came with 2 drawers from what I’ve seen in the Coleman Lantern Facebook group.

The you tube videos show 3 drawers for the 2021 and the sealant applied is kind of amateurish. Gander RV should step up and add a drawer. Hopefully Gander RV stands behind their warranty.

Hello Again! We have started working on decorating/modifying our 17b. We are thinking about using the same white subway tile that you used. We love the clean lines and how it brightens the space. I was wondering how it has held up in your unit. Some of the Amazon reviews showed them peeling and lifting. One person thought it might be because of the change in temperature in the Northeast. I've already purchased them but now I am hesitant to install them. 🤷‍♀️ Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Wendy ☺️

Hey Wendy. Ours has stayed on. For the kitchen we sanded the side of the fridge portion where it’s that laminate looking wood. For the kitchen behind the sink we did a liquid sander then the tile. My husband also caulked all of the seams to make it look neat and outlined with tape for clean lines. In the bathroom we did not prep the walls. We also did not go into the shower. We did the same and caulked the seams for clean lines. It worked well for us. I hope this helps.

We removed the table, blinds/window treatments, drawers for the cabinet that was painted and mattresses so we didn't get paint on them. Thanks for watching!

How well does the fireplace heater warm up the camper? Have you been in very cold weather with it?

Last December we were in it for about a week on a trip to Grandfather mountain in North Carolina. Temp was in the 20s and we were nice and warm inside. You do have to leave the bathroom door open so the bathroom doesn’t get chilly overnight

Have you hung anything up other than using 3m? We'd like to hang up something more permanent for extra storage in bathroom.

We actually used different versions of 3m. Some of them hooks for the decor we take down when moving, but we do have a mirror in the bathroom. I used 3m tape that has a velcro piece to affix the mirror to the wall then i use a hook still to make it look likes its hanging since it's a pendant mirror. The small racks we bought that adhered to walls were either suction or 3m tape. Hope that helps!

@@phillyjawnsgooutdoors6118 thanks it does. I'll look for that velcro tape.. I just heard back from makers. They said if you want to hang something permanent that's heavy using screws, you just find the studs which is really easy to find by tapping on the wall or at the seams.

To tell you the truth I can’t remember a number. They came in packs of ten. I believe I used around 36 possibly more. We didn’t tile the whole bathroom. We left the shower out of it and caulked it off to look neat.
