Hi Lou, I wanted to let you know that I got my new T-Molding installed and it looks great thanks to you! BTW it wasn’t necessary to trim down the center strip on mine so it went up quickly!

New RV owner, used RV from Cruise America. . The T molding needs to be replaced on entire ceiling. 😢 The ceiling material is pulling away from edges. This seems an easy DIY project. Wish me luck. Appreciate the link to supplies in comments. Thanks so much.

Thanks as always Lou for a good video. I always like to check your channel out because I have the same type of Forest River RV. I too had the same problem with a roof leak around my vent which caused the white vinyl ceiling material to shrink. Had to purchase a wider t molding trim to cover the gap. Thanks again.

Hi DJ, that's great to hear. I couldn't believe the ceiling shrunk lol. I don't think they use the vinyl anymore on the new Foresters.

Yes, I agree that many issues that have come up in our RV have been relatively easy to deal with. However, I always seem to get a mild panic attack when I first discover a new problem.

Hi Lou, I have a Forester 3051s and the same thing happened to us. I bought 1.5 inch and it's not wide enough to cover it up. On Amazon the only way to buy the 2 inch stuff is $ 211 for a big roll. Is that how you had to buy it? Thanks, Phil

Hi Phil, go to www.t-molding.com/ they sell all sorts of t-molding by the foot. I think I paid about $20 delivered.

No some will use different types such as a thin strip of wood molding that is nailed in place.

How much space is there between the ceiling and the roof above last fall it sounds like there’s a chipmunk or some thing out there running around at night in the ceiling .

Hi John, there is plenty of room between the ceiling and the roof for mice and chipmunks to run around. Actually it is pretty common.

Rv'ers since the beginning of time have been trying to seal every hole to prevent mice from entering the walls and ceiling with no luck. You can start underneath the RV and look for any little holes. I use spray foam. Be diligent as a mouse can hold its breath and enter the tiniest of cracks. You can also try mouse repellant sprays or mothballs. I recently installed some 12v pest repellant devices in the RV and they seem to actually work fairly well. Here is the link to the article and video. I have not seen it over 2 inches. Contacting someplace like T-molding(dot)com may help. You may have to come up with some other option unfortunately.

So there was no damage under the white panel i have a horse trailer, where the panel bubbled and shrunk.

It did not bubble. The wood underlayment was solid. The vinyl did shrink a little.

Thank you sir, I have the same issue with mine and was wondering how to tackle that problem, I didn’t realize that was T- Molding! I’ll try and do as you did and see if mine comes off as easy! BTW what did you use to trim to center down?

Thanks! I was at the RV tonight and tried to pull on that molding but no luck so I’m not sure if I have the same setup as you I’ll have to go back with some tools!
