Masachusetts raised the out of state residents campground rates during Covid. We live in NH and pay MA state income tax. To camp at the MA state campground at the beach is $90 for us & $32 for MA residents. That is taxation without representation!
We tied our little dog to a picnic table before packing up to leave. We started to drive away, then stopped when we heard this mournful howling. We had our fur baby for 20 years before he passed, but I still hear that awful sound of him thinking we were leaving him behind. 😢
We live in Washington state, near Portland Oregon. Oregon charges 25% over the resident rates for out-of-state campers at their state parks. We figure that isn't too bad, and their state parks are pretty nice, so we camped at quite a few of them this past summer (and previous summers), especially along the Oregon coast. I imagine it is easy to pass tax increases in a state for out of state people.
Just pulled a good one myself the other day, almost a year to to the day after buying my TT. Done so good, but I finally did it. Moved the camper without flipping up the stairs :p Dag Nabbit! at least it's an easy fix!
@@RVLifestyle on the bright side, the V2 of the morryide stairs are vastly improved over v1. WAYYY easier to adjust, and a much more secure latching system. So, at least there's an upgrade there for the mistake ;) I'm going to wire up a little light that will illuminate when the trailer is hooked up if my stairs are flipped down.
How is this for a major league rookie mistake ??? Very first trip in the band new RV purchased for retirement traveling...Aprox 1 mile from home into that very first RV trip on our way from the Bay Area to Oregon and visit relatives...Here is my bonified crackhead move...We have a drawer below our oven bout 3 inches off the ground...I had filled that drawer full of all my cast iron cookware because i love the stuff and wanted to bring it...Went around a corner bout a mile from the house , heard this big crash, turned around and looked, drawer was on the ground with the broken rails pulled out of the wall...Not to fricken bright to say the least....Lesson learned and needless to say the RV is now and has been for some time cast iron free lol....Moral of the story, not 5 minutes into our very first trip and BAMM , rookie reality reared its ugly head...When you make a mistake that dumb, all you can do is fix it and laugh at yourself for being so stupid...Luckily , my RV dealer finagled it to where i was able to have it fixed on the RV warranty ....
I am so excited as I’m buying my Rv in 2 weeks! I’ll definitely get the RV online course but not sure if I should get the regular or the Pro version. Any feedback on the Pro version is appreciated.
