Just started solo full timing with 2 black labs, and a black lab puppy. I have a 25 foot travel trailer, and the bunks really help with space for them to relax. I really like how you covered all the bases. I don't have space for the doggy cot, but I think everything else is outstanding. With multiple dogs, it becomes a management game. They must always either be in an enclosed fenced area, or on leash or tether. I have found that a great way to keep them near, if there is no fencing but they need to exercise, that playing fetch keeps them nearby without running off. Then its immediately back on the leash. If they are swimming, having their favorite toy to swim back to or a high value treat helps too.
That’s awesome! Glad to hear that you are enjoying traveling with your dogs. It makes it so much fun! We appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.
Am a newbie with a 1.5 yo Chihuahua (Paco); many of these ideas will help us have a great time, indeed. Am afraid, I'LL be the one packing his water (and waste), though! LOL... Never thought it'd be easy. Y'all Be Safe!
I have two goldens and my Bronco looks like your Jasper. I don’t have a truck so I’m going to be getting a class C and was wondering if you had to Goldens and three cats where would you imagine everybody sleeping? I’m thinking of getting an RV that has the bunkbeds so the cats can sleep on top and hang out up there and the dogs can be on the bottom bunk. What do you think?
Sounds like a great group! We love traveling with Jasper. Fun to bring along the for babies! He usually sleeps at the foot of our bed or, sometimes he jumps up and snuggles in. I think you were idea of having some bunks for your collection would work well. Good luck and safe travels!
The pet cot is more reasonably priced than I expected. I looked at making a diy one but I’m not sure I could buy everything for what one costs for a smaller dog.
Excellent video! Now that we have 2 beasties, we're taking the time to re-evaluate some of the gear we already have. Some of these we'd never considered before. I like making the dogs carry their own gear on hikes!
I love this video and your home! I plan on buying an rv in a month or two specifically to travel the world with a therapy dog lol. Thanks for the tips and drive safe (:
