I liked those old time trailers. Small and cozy. That was a neat place.👍

Nate, That was a neat place! Fun to see the growth of the RV/MH industry through the years. We often think this mode of travel is a new concept, but we realized this desire to travel in comfort has been around for many years. Fun to read the history and imagine all the memories made. Always appreciate hearing from you Nate! ~Rhonda and Stan

Hi from Tx. Married a great girl from the North East part of Iowa 28 years ago. Traveling around visiting some small towns during the summer, the farm properties are so well kept. A lot of pride and awesome people.

Derik, Congratulations on 28 years! That’s us too last May👏 We sure enjoyed traveling through Texas. Stopped and visited friends in Prosper then spent a few days in Waco. It’s great to visit smaller towns too! You can find some gems 💎 Thanks for watching!! ~ Rhonda and Stan

We absolutely loved the RV hall of fame. It was a great place to Harvest Host. Those old mills are so cool to watch work. Where I went to college there was a waterwheel that used to grind grain.

Hey Butch and Becky! We had fun stepping back in time and reading all the history each RV/MH had. It really was fun to see the MH that traveled to our hometown of Lake Havasu City with the family and boat in tow. We can only imagine all the memories made! We haven't joined HH yet, but want to! We forget about all the fun places it can take you like the RV/MH Hall of Fame. We had never seen a working mill like that before so it was fun to learn something new! Thanks for being a part of lives! Love you guys! ~Rhonda and Stan

Nice, looks GOOD. Well hehehe I went camping back in the 50s & 60s so I got sleep in the OLD school stuff. And I still have my Colman gas lantern. Hehehe somewhere I think.

Tim, This sounds like it was a walk down memory lane for you then, lol! It certainly was for Stan. When we hit that Class C it brought back a lot of memories for him. Unfortunately, I didn't grow up camping, but we've raised our kids that way so hopefully we have instilled good memories they will want to recreate for their families someday. You might want to find that gas lantern, it's a relic 🤣 We always appreciate hearing from you Tim! ~Rhonda and Stan

Bruce and I loved the Museum too! We could not believe we missed the mill when we visited. I guess I did too much shopping in the Amish towns. LOL

Hi Bruce and Karla! We just stumbled on the mill and to our surprise got a private demonstration on how it works. Very interesting! I wanted to buy every bag of flour that was made there because the recipes all looked amazing, but somehow walked out with none 😔 We didn't realize the miles of hiking and biking trails that the Bonneyville Mill County Park had to offer so we missed out there too. Maybe we both need to attend the GD national rally next year and go to the mill together! Thanks for being a big part of our journey to Indiana and the GD tour! ~ Rhonda and Stan

@@OverTheHillAdventures Yes that would be great! How do we find out info on the rally? We won’t be able to make it out your way for the rally. Too far to drive. FL and out west will probably do Bruce in this year. LOL. We are going to FL again next March for a month. We have been gone 8 weeks since March 1 of this year, including our 2 week trip to GNP in a couple of weeks.

We had a Coleman stove and lantern for years when we tented.. My Dad gave them to us when he stopped camping 🏕

Claudia, We are glad we left that clip of the lantern in the video because it seems it brought back a lot of memories for several folks. Fun that you have the stove and lantern as keepsakes of family time spent camping.⛺ We raised our 4 kids tent camping and loved it! Nowadays, I'm not sure we could get up off the ground, but it was fun when we were younger 🤣 It was fun to walk through the history of how Rving began. I often think it's a new concept, but it's definitely been around a long time. We LOVE hearing from you each week. Means more to us than you know! ~ Rhonda and Stan

My dad and I visited grist mills growing up including the mill at mount vernon from Washington and you can still buy corn whiskey milled on the mill and then distilled on site. Now touring mills with hubby.

Christine, Thank you for sharing that memory about you and your Dad. How fun that you are continuing that tradition with your husband. 👏 We enjoyed learning the history of that mill and how it worked, and is still working!! I regret not getting any of the cornmeal or flour 🥲 Was planning on it, but the place got super busy. Next time 👍 Have a great week! ~ Rhonda and Stan

In Southern Indiana, there are at least two grist mills working today that are older. Beck's (1802) and the one at Spring Mill State Park (1818 or so).

Gary, We really enjoyed our spontaneous trip to the Bonneyville Mill and then to our surprise we got a private demonstration on how it works. I guess Bonneyville Mill's claim to fame is that they are the oldest "continuously" operating grist mill in Indiana. Wish we would have known about the others. Would have been fun to visit! Thanks so much for sharing so others can check them out! We appreciate you watching and for reaching out. Blessings, Rhonda and Stan

Hi guys! Awe, we wish we were going too so we could hang out again!! We have two of our grandbabies celebrating first birthdays this month so we knew we'd have to miss the rally, but hopefully next year! Thanks for the reminder👍 We did get tickets for the GD rally in Quartzsite, Arizona for February so that will be fun. Safe travels out there! 💌
