Stan and Rhonda with Over The Hill Adventures are recently retired and have chosen RVing and mountain biking as their new adventure. They live in Arizona and are part-time RVers who travel with their two dogs, Molly and Kobe in their 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2500RL while documenting their travels and mountain biking adventures.
It is their goal to inspire and encourage those who are "Over The Hill" to get active and fill their lives with new adventures. Thanks for tuning in!
Looks like a great little trail. The cave adds a special level of fun. We just got home from a week at Glacier. It's a great hiking spot as well. Take care
Hi Matt, Glacier is one of our favorite places! Our goal next time is to bike ride the Going To The Sun road when the road is still closed. When we saw Glacier was when the had all the major fires. We need to go back during clear blue skies. It is so beautiful!! Thank you for joining us! Our Season 7 “Slow Your Roll” begins in two weeks. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Hi Guys!! I've used the shelf liners in our new fridge ..glass shelves. It held everything in place, even with a small 4" the width of the fridge. Love your new merch.
Wow just read the story of your colleague. What a sad ordeal! Our sympathies on your loss. Thank you for sharing the story and for your service to make life safer for the rest of us. ❤
There is nothing like family time. I'm glad everything worked out. I guess you're going to have to give your driver some driven tips, lol. Safe Travels
Thank you. 👋🙂 Wow so cool. Definitely worth the effort. Great Job! Not sure I'll make that. I will give it a go for sure.😮. Wow, incredibly pretty. That's my kind of fun. Thanks again. 👋🙂
@@vancandew7375 the law is very specific. If you are a professional camera crew impacting the natural movement of those who want to enjoy the park, then you need a permit. For folks like us who are in the National Park with one camera taking to each other and the camera. Then we are exercising our Constitutional Rights freedom of speech. When trying to apply for a permit the National Park Service will let you know the law does not apply to folks like us. We appreciate your comment it is very confusing. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Nice work showing us the park - we have driven by a few times but have not had time to stop yet. One of these days :). Not too bad on the new rig - as you say you have to expect some stuff to go wrong. That wheel overheating is a bit of a head scratcher - will be interesting to learn the root cause. Sometimes I notice that after adjusting breaks if I don't get them all the same - but it normalizes pretty quickly. Safe travels and look forward to your next season - Utah is one of our favorites!
Hello Bob and Dang, this park is definitely a bucket list to explore. We want to go back! The wheel have worked itself out. I actually repacked it and adjusted the caster nut. I actually think it might be just the TireLink. Thank you for joining us! 🙏🏼❤️
Hi Stan and Rhonda. I wish to thank you for sharing the video and audio of your genuine experiences of weaving your way above and inside the cave. It's one thing to see the sights and hear the sounds of nature, but I truly felt closer to the caves from the perspectives of your shots and the raw, unfiltered physical yet exhilarating nature of the journey. I, too, was in disbelief to learn that it was only a mere 1.5 miles, in as many hours! That's about 90 ft/minute, 3 times slower than the average casual walk. It just goes to show you how the wonders with which we are blessed to experience are truly divine in origin and form.
Hi Raoul, thank you for your sincerely kind words. Thank you for joining us!! We always want folks to be there with us. Sometimes the camera work is tough in dark places. To see it in person is magical!! We will definitely want to go back to explore Pinnacles National Park again! Thank you again and Happy 4th of July! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
We also have the lifetime pass its great to have. Loved the video! Love the caves! Little tight but looks like its worth doing. Love the family sports looks Iike they love playing. Very handsome kids. Miss you guys! ❤ Love the hats and shirts. Would like to get the pink one❤ Love you guys❤ Hope to see you soon! Happy 4th of July🎉 Lorie and Jeff
Hello Lorie and Jeff, Happy 4th of July! You have to put this on your bucket list. So much fun!! Save the date January 14-17. We are going to be at the 2025 United Rally. It will be in Tucson Arizona. We will get you more information later. We are joining forces with Switch It Up and other RU-vidrs to bring our communities together for a night of worship and devotion.
I live in the area, coming back to the Island is a tradition. Come with your own bikes or rent them. Avoid the busy season if you can. When friends and family come to Northern Michigan, taking them to visit Mackinac Island is always a wonderful experience. Visiting the Island in the winter is an entirely different and majestic experience. I am on the cusps of moving away from Northern Michigan and it is heart breaking. It has been my home for over twenty five years. It was a dream of mine to live here as a child. I will return now and again if the fate allows.
Michigan is beautiful the weather loved the island and will return. Change is always hard but with change there is always blessings. Thank you for joining us! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
I got my lifetime pass while in Hawaii a few years ago. There is NO way I’d do that hike in the tight places. As someone who is over 6 foot 5 never would happen. Thanks for showing the hike. Stay safe, Bill in Utah
Hello Bill and Livvi, you would have been fine. The widths were a little tight. At least we were able to bring it to you. Blessings and 4th of July. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Another fun video, y'all! I think this video was shot a few months ago, so Happy Belated Birthday, young man! 🫡😉 Yes, there are always little things that need correction/repair on every new RV. We had several things addressed when our trailer was new. It goes into the shop for bearings, suspension, heater, and A/C repair this month. The spring rods are what we use both in the pantry and refrigerator to keep things inside. They definitely work! I believe they are Camco Brand. I would have the bearings repacked and reseated just to make sure it is done right this time. We redid ours after our first trip out, and it was a good thing we did, too. There wasn't enough grease in the bearings to begin with, but no damage was done. It's always a good thing to check before your big new adventure with your new RV. We both got our Golden Age Senior Park Passes, but they cost us $10 each before the prices went up to $80. I believe it qualifies you for a 50% discount on camping fees, but y'all might should check to make sure. Looking forward to your next video! Safe travels, and God bless y'all! Bob and Dottie
Hello Bob and Dottie, Happy 4th of July. Yes this was filmed a few months ago. Our next video we change out the pin box and add a few other MORryde upgrades. Then Season 7 Slow Your Roll begins. We are a few months behind. We are always a few months behind.. lol. Blessings to you both, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
@@OverTheHillAdventures - Happy Independence Day to y'all as well! Can't wait to see what changes Stan's going to make to the hitch. Should be educational! Take care! Bob and Dottie
Here is an idea for Christmas ornaments: we buy keychains when we are traveling in our RV. We have done this for many years and now have an entire Christmas tree dedicated to our travel keychains. They are typically not expensive or breakable, are small and easy to store when traveling, and almost every state park, national park or monument and tourist area has many styles from which to choose.
Hi Pam, we specifically have our Christmas tree decorated with National Parks 🏞️. So beautiful!! You have a great idea!! Thank you for joining us. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
That hike truly was an adventure! The rock formations reminded me of the Needles in Custer State Park. I wonder: did Pinnacles NP have a visitor center or is it too new? Stan seems so knowledgeable about working on your RV. It really was a blessing that he noticed the issue with your roof slide. That’s what a shake-down trip is for isn’t it? Check all your RV systems. Can’t wait to see your upcoming trip! Happy 4th!😊
Hello Claudia, thank you so much for joining us on this adventure. We really enjoyed Pinnacles National Park. There might is Visitor Center on the westside but not where we were at. Season 7 Slow Your Roll will start in two weeks. Happy 4th of July!! Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
We have the lifetime pass too. Love it! We have heard that about the rats eating the wiring. A lot of wiring is made of soy and corn now so it is edible to critters and they do eat it! We have had things chewed on along the way...... Fun, challenging hike through interesting caves, rocks and waterfalls. Lots of butt shots in this one. LOL. "We didn't bring any snacks, we would have starved down there!" 😬 I don't like bats either Rhonda. Family time is always great, glad your hearts are full! -Michelle
My favorite park. If you are there one night the hood being up is not that big of a deal. We have stayed there for a week at a time and never had an issue.
Alisha, Makes me happy to hear you found some value in the ideas 👏 Not sure if you have seen my other videos, but I’ll send you a link to my organization playlist. Hope it helps! Safe travels! ~ Rhonda ru-vid.com/group/PLRRJ7eQONatPpWTPqrjCAYNWC_zCj98qL&si=jM8_R6Tzrc6_uguR
We raised our stabilizers They were a problem at times if you turned into or exited parking lots at an angle. My husband managed to raise them an additional few inches
Good morning ☀️ Thank you for sharing. We are going to be raising them as well before our next trip. Just to give us a little breathing room. 😄 Thank you so much for reaching out! ~ Rhonda and Stan
Just discovered your channel while searching for videos of South Dakota. I will going there the end of this month and your videos of SD have been very helpful. Love your videos!
We are thrilled to hear our videos and experiences have been helpful! We are excited for your trip 👏 South Dakota holds a special place in our hearts. You are going to have the time of your life. Did you see our South Dakota RV Travel Guide video? If not, I will link it here. 😀 Thank you for reaching out! ~ Rhonda and Stan ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NGiRaEIkyU0.htmlsi=EgUm6ftWukzcBxTq
So glad we have no desire to go bigger, longer. A lot of the older parks cant handle bigger rigs. We're in a seasonal site at a Christian campground. Lots of low branches. We have family history at this camp and asked if we could volunteer to do some work on the grounds. Mainly triming trees. They gladly excepted! Its been a wonderful experience!
Hi Deb, There are definitely advantages to having a smaller rig. With that said, we are loving having more space while we travel the country. What a great opportunity you have found to be able to serve at the campground where your camp has history. I’m sure they appreciate the help! Reminds me of the Sower RV ministry where you can travel and serve at different campgrounds. Enjoy your summer. Thank you for joining us! ~ Rhonda and Stan
@OverTheHillAdventures of be had no sticks and bricks and on the road full time a bigger rig would be something to think about for sure. Our daughter and son in law have a 5th wheel. If we could be on our own property in the woods bigger would be better! Safe travels, looking forward to see what you two get into!
@@OverTheHillAdventures You are very welcome. Loved your video, showed it to my husband and now we are planning our own trip there for late summer early fall.

Nasty human trafficking place!! Young workers die there don’t get any justice they won’t do any autopsy bc they don’t want family to know they were drugged. Rich people involved in it so it’s just gets worse no help for innocent there. Run!!
Wow! That’s an unexpected thing to say! It possible that darkness lives everywhere! It is more important to shine the light of Jesus where there is darkness.
Hey Rhonda! Fyi, Pinnacle NP was established in 2013. The New River Gorge NP in WV was established in 2020. And .. we are upgrading from a 1500 to a 2500 Chevy this week. Thanks for encouraging us to bite the bullet.
Hi Jane, you are so right!! We forgot about New River Gorge NP. Thanks to late now the video is already done oh well. Good for you on the 2500HD you will love it. Thank you for joining us! Rhonda and Stan🙏🏼❤️
@@OverTheHillAdventures growing up in Ohio, I got to raft the New River when I was a teen. We are contemplating going to the new park this fall ...so it's on my radar. Looking forward to seeing where your next season takes you in your new 5er.
Hi. Great video. Brought back lots of great memories for me. I've been to lots of great outdoor places through the Northwest Part of the country, but have always returned to Custer State Park. I am 76 and no longer able to travel to the park and I miss so, so much. I loved this video. For those of you folks who like to fish, Sylvan Lake has a lot of trout. I've had many dinners supplied by this lake.
Hello Michael, thank you for joining us! Stick with us and come along as we go on so many adventures. We appreciate you sharing your tips. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
I live 50 miles from the island. Our local National Guard is a bridge division. What you saw was simply a training exercise. They have practiced on most of our islands. Evacuating Mackinac Island would not be a priority. Glad you were able to witness that. I enjoy your videos. I subscribed.
I recommend using google maps to map out where you’re going when you have internet. Then take screenshots of what it shows you. You’ll have those to refer to if and when you lose service.
Hi Doug, the Z3400 is beautiful!! Just a little too heavy for our truck. Congratulations on your new rig!! Thank you for joining us, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
We just got our camper 3 weeks ago and stayed at 2 State Parks so far. We Love them. The first one there was a line at the dump station. I definitely move quickly, but I also make sure to flush my black tank. It only takes a few more minutes. One thing I learned from watching many RV’ers on RU-vid is to not worry about rushing things to make for a more enjoyable experience. That being said, the guy in front of me was definitely taking his sweet time and trying to talk and have a conversation with the guy next to him and slowing him down as well. He seemed to be a little annoyed as the guy was just hanging out like he was sitting around the campfire. I haven’t felt pressured yet, and I think you should empty and clean properly. As long as you keep moving and be in get-r-done mode, I don’t think most people will make you feel rushed. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Subscribers and looking forward to catching up with your adventures. I'm from Long Beach (Los Angeles County) live in Maryland now. Like your branding colors.
Hello DeWitt and Janice, thank you for joining us. Stan grew up in Pasadena, California and Rhonda grew up in Oceanside. We are native California and now live in Arizona. We are believers! Thank you again for joining us! Blessings. Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
I see those real leveling rails while driving all across this country and wonder the same thing Ronda. We are leaving for a 3 month trip in a couple of weeks. It will take us a bit to get back into the grove. I hope we see you guys on the road sometime in the future! Take care!
