My dad used to say "you cant steer a parked car" or in this case a parked rv. After my divorce this spring I'm also just now going full time after dreaming about it for years. Pulled all the band aids off at once. Sold or gave away most everything. Thanks for sharing, we all appreciate it. Nothing like a big change to help you see new things.

You guy's are absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been rving for 20+ years now and each year we spend more and more time on the road. We started planning 3 years ago to turn the page and start a new chapter in our future. We just sold our sticks and bricks, liquidated our assets, packed the 5th wheel, and we go to closing on September 10th. We hope to meet you one day on the road.

Same! Sept 10, 2021 we started our FT RV life. Sold the sticks & bricks. :) We're a large family and 2 dogs in a 5th wheel. We traded in our "weekend warrior" bumper pull and hit the road. It's been interesting, different, challenging, but so very exciting- we are enjoying it! We've always talked about doing this "someday", but when our oldest daughter suddenly passed in March 2020, we just KNEW it was time and we had to live life differently. This lifestyle is our saving grace. Congrats and best wishes to you and your wife on your new season of life! I look forward to meeting many of you down the road! Happy trails!

I rarely put in comments, but watch your channel all the time. Thank you for sharing some of your private and past lives with us. We all have history and a story to tell, some stories are best left alone! We are only occasional travelers, and have a class A, which sits in our back yard way too much! We did go off for 4 months, one year. We ran into so many full-timers, I was honestly surprised. But after spending that much time on that trip, I could honestly see how it would be easy to go full-time. My husband disagrees and insists on having a home base, sorta like a "mother-ship", and after a month, is ready to get home. We live in Florida and took a trip of a life time for us both. Out to California, and like you I LOVED the Oregon coast. I was ready to move! We did Crater Lake, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and all the wonderful places in Montana, Wyoming (My fav was Yellowstone). It was quite the trip, with loads of memories. Wow, I sure didn't mean to ramble like this! Just keep doing what you're doing!

I'm living in my house alone for 15+ years.... It's very tempting to make a big change like this. Will see. I tend to have a lot of stuff, tools, hobbies, etc. A home base with a big barn and RV is all I really need.

Going fulltime in November. Had a successful landscape Company for 25 yrs. Made a good living $$. But, realized$$ is not all that is claimed. Happiness is. Very nervous to walk away. But, Very confident that can finish my life with true happiness.

Love watching you guys and seeing all your ups and downs. I'm an otr truck driver and I plan on retiring in a little over 3 years and going full time rv. Up until 4 years ago I had no idea that people full time rved. I hope you guys enjoy our great state and come back many times. We also have a waterfall trail that expands across the state. One place in particular I like to go to every fall is called Tim's hill which is the highest point in Wisconsin. The list just goes on, on what you can do here. Keep up the great work.

I am 63, early retirement, financially good and just have been thinking about it seriously for a couple of years. Liz, when you said "Path" and "Run" I heard you. I really enjoyed your story and I enjoy your videos. My wife and I are BEST friends and we’re newbies in the RV world. We don’t really want to go full time RVing. We did the camping stuff as we were growing up ( with our folks). But we didn’t have a camper or trailer. It was pitch the tent and sleep on the ground. I hated it. We’re both retired now and we’ve made some good investments. We don’t want to just sell everything that we have worked so hard for. We are musicians and we look forward to traveling to places we’ve never been. Thank you for your advice.

Love this video and learning about your background. Especially that you are in my state of Wisconsin. You will have to go on the Red Cedar Trail that is a bike/walking trail near my city of Menomonie. You are not very far from it being in Sparta. Enjoy your visit to Wisconsin. Hello! Thanks for sharing your story. It's hard to have your cake and eat it too as they say. I want to do both but it's not possible. We live on a nice acreage where I have a great garden, cut firewood for winter heat and wonder around the timber and also have a few grandchildren close by and a nice home where you can scratch where it itches. I can appreciate the adventure and freedom of RV life. I could do it and might like it a lot but can't do both long term. Yep... you cant't always have your cake and eat it too. That's life. Life is Good!

Hi Cathy! Yes it can be hard to adjust to not having the circle of friends you had at home. What we are noticing is we are building community on the road, with the help of Thousand Trails. Thanks for the inspirational stories. I am teetering on the edge of deciding to pull the plug and go full time. I have a dream of traveling and working on other folks RV's, but am torn by having a good day job that pays well. Thanks again for telling your personal stories.

Thanks Liz and Paul for sharing a little of your back story. Stay safe and I'm expecting to hear from you when you decide to come to Alberta, Canada. As I've said before, we have a great campground in Cochrane, AB which is an hour from Banff. It can serve as a great home base as you explore Banff National Park, Lake Louise and Jasper. You guys are the reason why I rv. In early May I bought a super duty truck. A month later I bought the 5th wheel rv. We are now part timers, being in the rv about 14 days a month. You were the first rv youtubers I subscribed to.

Interesting videos, I enjoy your work and appreciate your desire to share your experiences. When a person gets to their late 50's, they may or may not have as much time left to "experience" as they'd like. So, if you're thinking of making the change go for it, don't wait. I advise friends that the 70's are the bonus years, that is if you get there. Time to enjoy the freedoms, travel and be happy. Many don't get the chance as health problems become the #1 bummer and destroyer of plans. There are years of interesting places to visit in the U.S. and even if you start in your late 50's you will not have time to see it all.

Very good real life story thanks for being real. Life is a journey and when someone takes a moment to introspect and evaluate what's important to them that is when real life happens. We've owned our own businesses for over 21 years and at the age of fifty four my wife and I said let's get out of the rat race and see the country. We've met people that have truly inspired us to take hold of this nomadic lifestyle and live it full-time. Maybe one day we'll meet up with you and trade stories. God bless and safe travels.

Enjoyed watching this video. Yes having another person to share your travels with does make it funner. I read something years ago which goes like this.....' A ship in the harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for.'
