Beautiful Country, but I must say the embankment the train is above would benefit having some "Gabion Baskets", to prevent further erosion and save the rail! "Beautiful Country".........
I lived in Maryland but spent most of my childhood growing up off of poland hollow north of town. Hunting and fishing on the south branch was the best times of my life.

It is the oldest town; incorporated prior to Mecklinburg (now Shepherstown) per Hennings Statues, the West Virginia attorney general, and the historian for Sheperdstown.
