Not blaming alliance …( have enough issues with ours to complain about ..) but it really does suck that the patio rails unlock and detach with little movement could have totally prevented you from falling over and off . We used to put trash in the back of our truck until we came out, and my brand new Silverado High Country had a giant chunk chewed off of the bumper. Whatever animal it was could smell the trash but had no access, so they chewed the bumper until they cut themselves and left a puddle of blood behind.

As a truck driver i see this occur all the time. I always wondered why it's not required by law buying anything over 30 feet a simple class on basic safety for rv'ers. It could be a simple online course. The dangers and death I've witnessed is really uncalled for. The amount of education as a cdl holder is huge for good reason. Your not as large but way more dangerous going into it blind.

Thanks for talking about the critters. Our little cabin is near a popular campground at Lake Tahoe and the bears tear everything apart. They are so smart and (unfortunately) conditioned. They do major damage to vehicles and walk right into RV’s and houses. Just the slightest scent of anything resembling food will trigger them. Bear boxes are definitely there for a valid reason.

I would like to ask you all why did you pick an Alliance toy hauler, was it the design, cost, construction, warranty, when you have time. No big hurry but you’re right that without protection you will not make it and a dog is best. I’m planning to buy a King Shepard which gets 150 to 200 lbs and stands 6.5 feet or taller. But I will take him every where I go. The nice thing is he is part wolf. Great video again. Thanks
@liketheresnotomorrow
@liketheresnotomorrow Месяц назад
We had researched companies known for their customer service. Alliance fit that bill. Go back and watch our past videos on the toyhauler. We did have issue with a crack but overall we are very happy with them. This particular unit was chosen because we needed two separate offices for work. So we converted the garage into another living space. It’s also where our college aged saucer stays when she’s out of school.

Great boondocking advice! I guess because I'm an old man with a dog I treat him like a toddler..a 110 pound German Shepherd/ Rott mix toddler but a toddler none the less. I'm just not comfortable leaving him in the trailer regardless of any equipment that might keep him safe when it's really hot and I live in Arizona. That's just me though, I realize every one doesn't think the same way where their pets are concerned.

I dont know how much they cost, but I would get "air tags" and hide them on your E-Bikes. If they get stolen you can track their location via your cell phone! You could also put one on your generator, laptops, cameras etc! I saw a video, where someone's ebike got stolen, at a hotel, and they were able to get it back, via the air tag location! Just a thought!🙌

We carry firearms in their two safes. Safe! We never ever leave our dog in our RV. Two times now I have helped try to save a total of 4 dogs locked in two separate burning RV’s It always ends horribly. If your waggle goes down as you lost your power or inverter? your kayaking or in the park or town hours away? We will just not do it and we have a fail safe huge Solar lithium system from our own company with starlink.

You were talking about security. Why not install a household video recorder (DVR) with several outside cameras and a nice big monitor inside? You can see who is at the door, who is on your campsite, what critters are around, all the way around the RV and it is recorded. Put it on a dedicated Inverter, not expensive.

Great idea. Not sure we have that level of commitment or worry about it honestly. We have critter proofed about every outside crevice. Spray under with the peppermint solution which seems to work great. Only a mouse of two which is almost inevitable.

Don’t just trust GPS routes. They don’t show sizes of roads or where rural roads might encounter natural obstacles. We encountered reducing size and quality roads along a GPS route that eventually came to a unbridged creek ford with NO WARNING and No way to turn around (even though we have a small 16’ trailer). The biggest issue was no knowing the depth of the creek and if our camper would clear the water without water leaking in the door. We ended up OK but GPS lead us wrong.
@liketheresnotomorrow
@liketheresnotomorrow Месяц назад
Oh man, that’s crazy. Luckily ours has done pretty good (unless user error) Curious. Does your gps allow you to put in your rig, length, height and weight? We have two that we run at the same time that do this. One is a backup to the other and if they lead us different places we can dig in deeper with google earth. I mean, you have to trust something right?

The Cummins generator that you briefly mention in the video is something I've been considering purchasing. Do you have a specific video about that generator? I've looked through your video library and haven't found anything. My biggest question about the generator is does it work and run well in higher elevations? If you could give some details about the generator that would be great. It's a brand that I've considered the most and you folks are the only ones on RU-vid that I've seen have and use one. Thanks!!!

Hey there, we'll do a review soon. Bottom line, it works great. We had it recently at 8100 feet, and it worked perfectly, even with propane. It has a remote start that draws in the propane automatically, and usually starts on the first try. If not, it automatically tries a 2nd time, and it's always worked the 2nd time. We haven't had it in super cold temps yet. One big complaint I had with our other Champion pull start generator was that it would take 20-30 pulls to get the propane to start, especially if it was cold. I'd end up using gas for 10 minutes or so, then switching to propane. I don't have to do any of that with this generator. I just start it with the remote start, and it runs. Plus it's much quieter than our Champion, even though its twice the power. Overall, we're very happy with it.

I'm new to your channel and really appreciate your advice. I will be looking to buy hopefully a class C as it's just old me now, and my 3 dogs. I like the class C as it is easier for me to drive, and would yet be big enough for myself and the dogs. I plan on living in it, and explore the U.S.A since I'm retired. I just can't take the heat here in Texas anymore, and the rents are going out the roof. So I'm shopping around. I really like the idea of Waggel it's brilliant. I was wondering about that very topic that what happens if I leave the RV to let say do laundry, and the AC or heat goes out. That service really gives you peace of mind. @@liketheresnotomorrow well thank you for your quick response!! I am in a couple of RV reviews, certainly nothing to compare to what y’all are doing. I’m sure it’s a very difficult and I do want to see y’all succeed and prosper. Yawls videos are very entertaining and I hope to be able to run into y’all somewhere down the road and say hi. It’s not a gender thing, I’ve seen guys on other channels do it to their wives. It doesn’t really matter who’s doing it we just want to hear what everyone has to say. Keep up the good work and will keep watching.😄
