We camp on the beach in Destin Florida and then we head to Aurburn Alabama. Thank you for watching! If you would like to support the channel more you can become a patron at / sailingdoodles
Keep waiting for the official announcement given the amount of time they've spent together, and yes, completely agree she is a great character and beautiful and most importantly they obviously get on well.
I can't believe you drove past the Flora-Bama on the Florida/Alabama line and didn't stop. It's the ultimate beach dive bar! Love seeing the sights with y'all.
We just returned from the panhandle of Florida, somewhat chilly but we enjoyed. Hey Bobby Stephanie is a winner, it would certainly seems as if you have that knack for recruiting beautiful young ladies..... that lady is no slouch, she is family material. Whether it is Uptown or downtown, she fits right in sequentially.... whether it is an evening gown, jeans and t-shirt or a bikini, she is top-notch.
My Father moved our family there in 1960. At the time there wasn't any buildings there except the marina (right at Destin bridge). No hotels, condos, R.V parks. Nothing but the beach. We live in the area till 1968. and to this day I remember and miss some of the best times in my life. Now I'm beaching it in the Tampa Bay area (nice sugar sand here as well).
A park ranger just east of you at topsail state preserve told us the sand is white and comes from north carolina after 1000's of years of erosion. It has a high silica makeup. That is why it squeaks
Hard to beat Destin Florida Bobby. Looks like you guys enjoyed the short stay. Camp ground looked amazing. Great content like always, thanks for sharing. Billy D
Destin is my home, but has certainly changed over the years. I remember when Holiday Inn put the very first motel on the beach. Bobby, get off your rear end and help Steph put up the rug. smh; thought Texas son's were raised better.
Spent many happy hours on those white beaches. Come back in the summer, the white beach is a great contrast to the clear turquoise water! And, be careful, got my heart racing when Stephanie said "I'm nekkid"! ;)
Lol @ Stephanie going to the Waffle House! That statement of how nice the sand and beach are at Destin says A LOT coming from Bobby! I’m a sailing doodles fan but this glam ping thing is really starting to grow on me. Awesome job Bobby as always.
Enjoyed the video. Especially Destin. We lived in Fort Walton Beach in the early 90s, so yes, the beaches are very white. We had relatives from Ohio see pictures and thought it was snow too. Again, enjoyed the video.
New to your show. Very enjoyable, but you were excited about the puppy, then deflected to some parade on the boardwalk. So, I just about switched to another youtube video then steph was so outgoing, I subscribed
Another good video. Steph is certainly a great companion on all of your channels (I hope she is over Covid). Another creator that I support on Patreon has combined his channels (narrowboat, van and tech tips) into a single Patreon channel, which may work for you as well (although I know the LT plan is to spin-off this channel with a different crew).
Very cool video Bobby, Stephanie is a sweetheart. I use to fly charter out of Destin Executive (DTS) but we bought a condo in Key Largo and now flying charter and freight from Homestead Airport (HST). We sold our Privilege 615 catamaran and now own a 2020 Corsair 880 sport Trimaran. That thing is wicked fast and the perfect sailboat for our lifestyle in the Florida Keys....
Great video! Two of my favorite places. I moved to Auburn several years ago and love it. I often visit Destin due to the beautiful beaches and the short distance.
Wow, Destin has changed a bit since I was last there in 1969! It seems that the high school vacationers from New Orleans, Louisiana went to Destin and the Floridian high school students went to New Orleans back then for Easter break. The quartz sand beach would "scrunch" when you walked on it.
Grew up here in North Central Florida next to the tree farm that originally replaced the trees in 2015. Shortly after they were planted, one was set on fire. They then later replaced both trees again with the smaller ones you see today.
I was in Auburn for the first time at the end of Nov. '21 for the Iron Bowl. Absolutely awesome experience! My son stayed with his buddy at the University and I stayed with the buddy's father at a campground where he has kept his camper since his son started going there in '19, the people there were so incredibly nice!
Hope you washed the entire RV including the undercarriage and engine bay. That salt gets everywhere. When I lived in Daytona Beach, FL I went through 3 radiators in my car.
Love Sailing Doodles and Glamping Doodles! We have an Airstream RV so we love your "newish" channel. My wife is an Auburn grad and we took our RV there a few years ago. WAR EAGLE!
We weren’t camping in Destin but we just stayed there a couple months ago, literally a few 100 yards to the east of the park. From Panama City to Pensacola it’s pretty amazing. 100% accurate on the sand. Orange beach Alabama is also pretty sweet. Happy trails.
Another great trip. I love Destine, it's a great getaway for a vacation. I remember reading about the trees being poisoned. It was a miserable juvenile act of vandalism. Stephanie is a very pretty girl and makes this video even better. Maybe the Sailing Doodles can make a port of call into the other great places around the Gulf? Thank you for sharing with all of us
Maybe next time visit Topsail State Park. You can drive in to swim for the day, or RV park, or tent camp, or rent a cabin. During the summer, Walton County Chamber of Commerce often sponsors all "Day-trippers" by making park entry free-of-charge. I visit several times per year.
I love Destin. I loove the whole panhandle for Florida. Sugar white sands that squeak when you walk or run on it. And, since I am an Auburn Tiger fan, I love the city of Auburn, AL. I've only been there once to watch a football game (so far) but it is the Prettiest Village on the Plains.
It must be great to have an RV like yours especially if you enjoy your creature comforts like comfortable bed & somewhere to have a shower, but lm warming far more to the sailing doodles especially your current vessel the Dark side, just to get away & loose yourselves in the middle of nowhere, especially with someone who likes to be naked !!!!!! 🇬🇧
wow i have been watching you since your sail boat days and see you in Auburn al, few miles away from me, we go to destin all the time as we are retired military. Destin is like some of those places down in Caribbean.
Love the gulf coast panhandle...the sand squeaks when you walk on it. Used to go there all the time when I was at Ft. Rucker. Eaten at many a waffle house...try to hit one wherever I'm travelling.
Glad to see you made to our part of the world! I have visited that campsite with friends before. My wife is from Pensacola which has the same beautiful beaches. Some do say Destin's beach is better. I live in Birmingham, AL. now but, my daughter lives in Gulf Shores which is west of Pensacola and the beaches are the same. I spend the weekends with her every chance I can and take my granddaughters to the beach now and have a lot of fun with them. I grew up on Panama City beaches with my parents and as a kid, I thought every beach in the world was the same as Florida's and Alabama.
Love the channel and all your travels. You all should check out a few state parks along the way. They usually have nice campgrounds that are very affordable. Only downside is they may not be close to town! Enjoy the journey!
