There aren't of ton of reputable rv repair services out there. You come across on the good side. Much success with your biz!

Thanks! We know that folks trust us and we always try to live up to that trust. Being fulltime RVers, we try to treat others how we want to be treated. Thanks for watching. Enjoy your evening!

Great video. One BIG problem is that RV retailers suck, horribly, at educating new RV owners on what maintenance needs to be done. They normally throw a big stack of manuals at the new owner as they are kicking them in the ass to get them off their lot. If the RV retailer does not thoroughly go through the camper with the new owner on use and maintenance, then it is monies well spent to hire an inspector to go through all of that stuff. This saves money in the long run and helps to avoid those on-trip surprises.

I find that a lot of folks are intimidated because it's an RV. Plumbing is plumbing,electrical is electrical.Same as your house,aside from having a 12 volt system.

How about a video on the proper way to winterize?
@missionrvservices
@missionrvservices 2 года назад
We’d like to but there are just too many variations in camper types, so it would be difficult to do a basic video on winterization.

Thanks again for reminders. I had a twist tie connection loosen up at the 2 year mark. I think I found it almost immediately under the sink going out to the outside faucet. Checked everything after that. and when I got home put a dehumidifier in the camper for a few days to dry anything out. What did you get from Lectric bikes. Got our racks yesterday (Sunday, that was odd) and the last item coming today for the XP Lite. Thanks again! Mike

Hey Mike! Thanks for the feedback! Jenn & I both got the 2.0 bikes with the comfort seat package. Hope to order the racks soon! We like them so far. Hope you like them as well. Let us know what you think about the racks!

Great video. We don’t own an RV yet, but I want to be a smart buyer & owner.

Thanks! We did A LOT of research before we bought ours and even before going to the NRVTA to get certified, we were spending a lot of time to figure out what maintenance was needed, because RVing is WONDERFUL, but there is a lot to know that they don't tell you when they sell you one. We wish you the best of luck in your search! PS. It's also critical to get a pre-purchase inspection. The one the dealerships give you is often (in our experience) very useless, unfortunately.

Good information! However, I suggest you get the DJI Mic so your audio doesn't sound so hollow and distant. It isn't about how loud you are. It's about how clear your voice is. Get the DJI Mic. It's worth the cost if you want as good a presentation as your information is : )

Thanks! We agree about the sound quality. This video was made after our first set of lapel mics went out & before we could get another set. Now our current set has crapped out & we’ve been looking at the DJI mic. The accountant (Jenn) is working on finding room in the budget for it. LoL

How do you go about quoting these different jobs? Is it an hourly rate or per job? What considerations do you have to make in the quote/price?
@missionrvservices
@missionrvservices 3 месяца назад
We have set pricing on some things like AC or awning material replacement (determined by the going rate in the area that other techs charge) but mostly it’s based on our hourly rate and how long we know that takes to do. If we don’t know what the exact issue is before we go out there, all we can do is quote our hourly rate (which is competitive to other techs in the area)& then work efficiently by the hour to get the problem resolved. Many times, there’s a lot more to the story than what the customer stated on the phone, so we’re always sure to tell that (if we give them an estimate) that this is just that…an estimate.

Curious. What does it cost to change out an awning skin? Labor only. 12’

In MI, the going rate is $300

Do you guys work with aftermarket warranties?
@missionrvservices
@missionrvservices Год назад
We can document everything with pictures and write up the invoice how warranty companies like it written up & even answer questions that warranty companies have, in order for them to reimburse our customers but the customers pay us directly. Customers tend to get reimbursed way sooner than the warranty companies pay us.

Overall Quality of today’s RV’s, bottom line is GARBAGE! Poor craftsmanship & very low grade construction materials. We have soooo many friends who’ve bought nightmares in the last few years, you couldn’t pay me to buy an RV these days.
