I had a 2000 Arctic Fox 22h for 18 years and it was a wonderful rig with no issues ever. I sold it to a neighbor and bought a Lance 850 cab over truck camper which even though Lance says It was made for a 3/4 ton pickup I did not feel it was safe. In my search for the perfect RV I ended up with a Lance model 1985 travel trailer and the new Lances are not your fathers campers, it was the first in the shop way to often. Long story short, I bought a 2021 Nash 22h Off The Grid model. I love it. No long punch list after every trip. So I’m set for another 18 years. Enjoy yours, they are, in my option, they are the best made, period.

I want to solo camp within the next year. I want something simple. I'm retired and don't want a lot of stuff. My concern is exactly what you were talking about. Everyone keeps telling me it's too small; but, I believe it would be great.

For one person this rig is perfect in my opinion. You'll also have the bed of the truck for storage ECT.

We lived in (but did not travel with) a 37’ 5th wheel for 2 years. Built a house and now rv with our 23’ Freedom express, pulling with 1500 Silverado diesel. Walk around bed was a must for us but wanted to stay smaller. 23’ IS small. Lol. Love it! Going from Florida to Canada in July 2023!

Great job, I actually upgraded from a Nucamp 400 to the Nash 17K last year and to me its huge compared to the 400 and the big dinette windows are great and it's just easy to tow as you point out. I did the factory tour this year and it was amazing in terms of quality and design. Great job on the video, right on point. I added lithium batteries inside the front storage and an inverter. It's looks like you have some kind of sponsorship with Northwood.. It would be great if you focus on the Northwood Insulation factor,And how it is really holding up at Sub Zero Temperatures...It would be awesome if you could show the coldest temperature, and how well the furnace holds up...Costs of heating Etc.. Thx for your vids

Have you weighed/checked your tongue weight? I'm considering this sweet trailer for a boondocking Queen also. My limiting factor is my older Tundra which is in perfect mechanical condition ( I'm fanatical about maintenance) and it's ratings. I have the tow package, 4.3 rear, tow/haul mode, extra trans cooler, but still only have 7300 Lbs towing and equally important 1330 Lbs CCC. Will use air bags along with a WDH & anti sway hitch. Do you think my Tundra would be up to hauling the Nash? I can afford the trailer but not i I have to get a different truck. Plus I have had the truck since new and I have kept it the way (and above) it should be. Thanks!
@AdventureEndeavor
@AdventureEndeavor 3 года назад
We have now weighed our trailer yet. I think you would be ok but I'm no expert. Are you going to be fulltime? If so I wouldn't do it, you most likely will be too heavy. We definitely feel it back there but the Ram doesn't have any issues. We have bags also and no WDH. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Northwoods ( Nash, Artic fox, Desert fox) are extremely heavy. I have a 22 ft Nash - dry it weighs 6200 pounds. Loaded with food, water, ect... it comes in at 8600. We had to upgrade our tow vehicle to a Ford 250 super duty to give us a safe cushion. We can still feel it, but we can handle the mountain terrain safely now. I would not recommend a Toyota. Ram, Ford, or a big chevy - 250/2500 at least.
