We just sold our 2015 17k about 3 weeks ago. We bought an Arctic Fox 25w. We loved the trailer but wanted a little more room. This is our 3rd Northwood product.

My absolute favorite smaller trailer. Nearly bought one a few years ago. It's increasingly difficult to find models without a walk around bed and slideout.

Hi Taylor, glad to see you back on the road, buddy. I'm going to presume that Northwood is following suit with major RV brands that are beginning to utilizing successful You Tubers to promote their products. It's about time, but they need to make sure they are compensating you well. Most likely, when they get more experienced in this type of marketing they will take the time to outfit the rig properly, especially when they fly someone in knowing they will have no basic camping gear. But on to more important things...GREAT video and drone footage, as usual! And I love how happy you are just to be out and free to soak in God's creation. I know exactly that feeling you spoke about. Hyke on, my friend!

How did you get so lucky? Nice trailer and yes, good job backing up. I have yet to experience backing up a trailer. I have driven motorhomes and backed them up but not a trailer. Something I want to learn. For the smallest trailer, that is a great size. The dogs and I could be quite happy livin' in there.

Okay. I had to stop the video at, “how am I going to cut my lime?” I am surprised that you don’t have a camping knife. Since I moved into my trailer that is permanently parked in an RV park without any of the adventuring that I enjoy in your videos, I have had to break out my camping gear as my standard kitchen stuff. I would have imagined that you would always have at least a pocket knife. 😀 great video.

Exactly why we just sold our AF truck camper. Although we loved it for 9 years we want more room as we get older. Next one will be a TT or a 5th wheel, more then likely it will be a Northwood product.

You should have gotten a small fifth wheel. Overall towing configuration length would be the same, but your living space would be larger.

Hey “Slick” you need your lady with you to remember all the important stuff. I am the same way w/o my wife to check my work man! I always get jacked up about the trip and forget everything. If you have time can you check out the Nash with the bunkhouse? We gotta stack them youngins’ somewhere and pull the curtains so me and momma can have some piece... and quiet. Also, I wear my “bad plaid” everywhere too... my wife always tries to dress me up in solids and other purdy boy stuff but I ain’t having it... God Bless America! And Canada!

I notice when you fly that sometimes you get pretty far out there. Do you ever get disoriented and if you do, do you use the RTH or fly until you figure out and come back manually?

Great video and I love the drone footage. You're flying that thing like a pro. 12:43 is that a drone shot? That's a great idea. It's tough when you only travel with a carry-on because you can't bring a good folding knife with you, which certainly would have helped in the kitchen, lol. You'd think Northwood could have kitted you out a little bit with some kitchen utensils for your trip. A suggestion; brighten up the footage inside the trailer (it's a little too dark for any detail). Keep living that dream dude.

Dude, u need a leatherman multi-tool for when u need cutlery when u forget a knife, fork and spoon. I always carry a Leatherman multi-tool at all times as my EDC or Everyday Carry and I carry a pocket knife with me. Very nice camper dude. Because of u I like truck campers but now I like that 5th wheel also. Nice and small but roomy

The interior of the new 17K is quite a bit nicer than mine. Check out my 17K tour and you can see the differences in it compared to the new ones. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ATOLEQygCJ4.html I see there's a stainless sink, with equal size basins. A sliding shower door (mine has a curtain). Glass cover on the cooktop. Darker woodwork. Lots more USB and 12v ports. (I added a bunch to mine). One odd feature is how they moved the light over the kitchen right up against the wall. It's a strange location for the light and will create a shadow when standing in the kitchen area since the light is behind you. It's yet another example of the very bizarre things that RV manufacturers do. Those chocolate filled marshmallows looked so good when I saw them last weekend at Walmart, but holy crap they are expensive, and there's only 17 in the bag! I think they were either $3.98 or $5.98.
