I’ve got zero problem with people coming in if we know who they are and they have skills to bring and money to support themselves. Most EU countries demand that of other EU citizens if they seek residency. But there are borders for a reason. Our homeless situation is a big problem, and our government doesn’t care about them or help with their homeless situation. They just decide to forget our own people. And they bend over backwards for immigrants and give them all their time and resources. This isn’t the way to go about this problem. The government need to help our own citizens first. These people concerned about these immigrants and their safety don’t need to worry but they do out of their kindness. What do you expect them to do about the British people who are homeless. What is wrong with processing asylum claims quickly and efficiently? Those in need get the support they need and those with criminal records, no valid claim etc are vetted out and removed. That would mean hundreds of thousands are not in a backlog and their lawyers would have no excuse to appeal on the grounds of their claim not being processed. They can then rightfully be removed without further legal challenge. What part of your brain finds that difficult?
This country makes family and individual illegal. People need to understand that we are all immigrants in this world sooner or later we will all go to the other side of the world. Let's all be kind to immigrants, especially with those with no criminal record

It took me over 5 years and over 20k to get my foriegn wife here several years ago. We had to prove our relationship with me visiting her and her coming here for a six month holiday visa first and return back to her country. For next visa She had to pass an english test before she came, do a medical. I had to prove i was earning over a certain amount over a 2 year period, somewhere to live. Then had to pay NHS fees for first 5 years for my wife, she could not claim benefits. Then she had to do another english test and life in UK test before eligble for permanent residency. I should have bought her a dinghy, its absolute disgrace.

We have 3 HMO's at the end of our street. Police here weekly, two arrested last week for causing trouble. Rubbish and bin bags all over the pavements, human feces in the alleyways behind them. My husband came from the USA and even though we had been married 12 years at the time and I had lived with him in the US for those years, it took 6 months and money for him to get a visa to come here and stay. We had to show bank statements, show his degrees and qualifications. Criminal check too. We never received any benefits, we both worked. The majority coming here illegally are economical migrants.
This is so wrong, I was deported from the uk 6 years ago to Jamaica I arrived in the uk at age 6 and was deported at 23 yes I did commit a crime but to send me somewhere Iv not been since I was 6 and have no family here it’s a shame intop of that they informed the police here of all my convictions making it hard to get a job I never been or felt like a normal person since

I have used the same train every week for years and just in the last few weeks I've noticed hundreds of people of African descent using them here in Northern Ireland, I'm unsure if they are here to run from the bill but it can't be a coincidence. I don't have much sympathy for those who entered illegally, almost all of which are men. I don't see how one can be picky on the country they settle in if they are truly fleeing from war and oppression.
Im in Northern Ireland and my town is putting up new apartments everywhere, anytime a business closes down or is bought over social accommodation is put in its place and not for the locals I can say that much.

UK provide rwanda with a lump sum payment per person. Only working age individuals can be deported (ie no families or kids). Rwanda are drumming up business with other european countries with little success
They're allowed to want people to be treated fairly and to live a healthy life without having to have them move in with them. Besides, if they did take a migrant into their home, you'd be screaming about 'virtue signalling'.

Because the country has not got any money. We are borrowing non stop to keep the country running. The EU along with France have taken a fortune from us to allegedly help. We need 250000 homes built every year for the next 25 years to catch up with the population. And in 25 years time we will need 500000 a year for eternity to keep migrants and the British population. Rwanda is not a solution, the only solution is that they go home. But there has to be a reason they go home. We can't keep 750000 new people every year. Considering the government is borrowing constantly to look after who is already here. I bet none of those people would house any migrants.
