You can really tell the difference between Atlas and Mantle in the beginning of this episode. Mantle citizens are always prepared for Grimm to enter the city and are rightly terrified of the horde in the sky. The people in Atlas were literally having picnics outside with not a care in the world. Because they thought their city was untouchable.

I do think that slight nod between Mercury and Emerald right before Mercury leaves for Vacuo with Tyrian was Mercury saying to Emerald like "oh shit you were right" and for her to look after herself. They do fight all the time but I somehow think they are still somewhat friends in a way.

For those who don't know: In Volumes 1 and 2, Ren's voice actor was Monty Oum. Monty was the one who came up with the idea for this show, but Monty died before Volume 3. After Monty's death, his brother (Neath Oum) became Ren's voice actor. That's Neath Oum talking when Ren says "No one is replaceable!", and hearing that makes me tear up every time I hear it

Hazel is angry for his death sister, but not just because she was an Huntress. He knows that Salem can't be killed, he also knows that Ozpin/ozma is aware but still educate Hunters and Huntress not because they can die in mission but because they were sent to their demise against an opponent who always win and return. It's like send them to their ends and Hazel thought how unfair this is ! For him, it's like Ozpin send her sister to a mission he knows she will not survive anyway and learning that this is the purpose of their jobs make him want to see Ozpin as an evil being, with the help of Salem of course !
