RWBY Volume 9 Chapter 8 Reaction: Tea Amidst Terrible Trouble

The synchronized two nickels bit had me cackling. You two are always a joy to watch-whether you’ve got Saturday or Tuesday energy lol.

This is one of my favorite episodes. And as much as I love seeing Pyrrha and Torchwick again, my favorite part is at 10:30, when Penny does her "Salutations." It's the same word, but the emphasis and tone are so off. Pyrrha's is somewhat believable, but Penny's just sounds _wrong._ It underscores just how disturbing the scene is, and how vile Neo could get.

Sad Romans VA passed and this was his return....in a way...man so depressing....i still think Ironwood is still alive!

Remember both the brother gods can use creation and destruction it just that they prefer one over the other

*NOVEL SPOILERS* If I remember correctly, the novel makes it ambiguous about whether or not Neo/Trivia's mother is alive. Her father, on the other hand...yeah. He dies, and while it wasn't by Neo's hand, it WAS caused by her pretty directly. Though to be fair, both of her parents were pretty awful people...

It wasn't your fault, the Crunchyroll site itself is a little wonky. That's just from my brief experience.

Oh Neo. Was this everything you ever wanted? Huh? Was revenge all it was cracked up to be? Didn’t think about what came after, did you? Spent a year or so with nothing but vengeance keeping you moving forward… And now, you’re being controlled by a being with more malice than even you were capable of mustering. Not that she certainly didn’t give it the old college try, holy shit. That was one of the most visceral physical and mental beat downs of a character I have ever seen and the nonchalance with which Neo did it? Having all of Ruby’s perceived failures take literal and figurative shots at her? Having her cut down Oscar before watching Little get crushed? The fact that Yang watched her sister, the person she loves most in this world, the person she practically raised and spent the majority of her life protecting, just… disappear? I mean, just look at her after Ruby drops into the ground she’s completely catatonic. Blake actually steps in front of her when the Cat blasts them because Yang doesn’t make a move at all. I never trusted the Cat entirely but I never expected this of them, holy hell. That is some nightmare fuel.

You know there's a detail I just realized, Neo only showed the people she knew or could easily infer were dead, so she probably saw Ironwood was in lockup, when everything went down, but she didn't know about Vine, and so he wasn't there.

Spoilers for this episode: Ruby chooses to die, Little gets curbstomped, an evil cat jumps into Neo through her mouth, and there is psychological horror everywhere. Megan: THIS. IS. FUN!!!!

Penny -> Yang, who was framed for assault and lost her arm that day Clover -> Qrow, the man partially responsible for his death. Leo -> Blake, another faunus who's White Fang past wrecked his school. Ironwood -> Weiss, an Atlesian who COMPLETELY lost her home. Pyrrha-> Jaune and the rest of her team.

Spoilers: Me watching this the first time: *everyone beats up Ruby* "Oh, man, poor thing, this is horrible😥" *Ruby slices Oscar* "Uff, how much are you going to break her? Stop it!" *Little dies* "Wait, what? No, nonononono....this was not part of the deal! This didn't jus happen! I though we were breaking Ruby's heart not mine!?"

Your not the only ones to get spoiled lol crunchyroll SPOILED this chapter, in the thumbnail it showed torchwick and tons of ppl got spoiled qnd anger and after 2 day's they fixed kt to something else,

I assumed it was a different voice for Roman, though I did consider the original might simply be out of practice. Regardless... "But we all know how that turned out." No, actually, *no one* knows how that turned out, except Ruby. Now would've been the perfect opporunity for her to tell Neo that Roman got eaten because he went on a negative rant in the middle of a flock of nevermores. I guess the writers were too distracted by the crossover to remember that. Of course, Neo was never part of the plan to begin with. It seems painfully obvious that Ruby was originally the one to be possessed. But, to be fair, this volume has finally made the most of Neo.
