Ruby has finally found herself, not just a huntress, not just a hero, but a human who needs to follow the right path without fearing herself and to others.
I can't agree. Not very smooth animation, and much of the fight looks like it was just copied from the RED trailer. Nobody could make a fight scene like Monty. Nobody. His fights flowed.
@@spudmagnum7394the animation for some of the attacks do have that weird, slight little pause after every move that’s been present since the Maya switch, to be fair. It’s not as bad and still looks cool, (even if it’s just an updated sequence from the Red trailer) but it is indeed a thing
As soon as I heard red like roses i teared up a little but knowing ruby is back and better then ever was a great moment and watching them take down that cat together was an amazing moment
I love how there wasn’t any costume changes or anything for ruby, but when she comes out of the tree she just feels different, and changed, it’s like something you can’t see but you can see it at the same time. Honestly such a beautiful scene, the music, how ruby is reaching for crescent rose. Sometimes choosing yourself really will bring a glow and shine to you that you didn’t have before
Let's hope neither Cinder nor Salem twist those words just to bait her into their trap. Ruby's the last light of hope for Remnant, and if they try anything to take it away, they'll pay dearly. 😤😤😤
"Sometimes choosing yourself really will bring a glow and shine to you that you didn’t have before" To me what it really came down to was two things. First was being able to set down that mountain she was carrying, even if it was just for a few moments... But even more important I think was actually having the choice to pick it back up. If you feel like you are forced to do something, you come to resent it. But if you get to choose that path, even if it is hard, knowing you had that choice and that it is what you wanted, makes it easier. Just hypothesizing though.
To me, it just seems hypocritical, badly written and easily forgiven. Ruby and the Curious Cat also both understand what it's like to start as a kind, simple soul only to get bogged down by hopelessness and despair and having no-one ease the weight of the world off their shoulders until they break and lash out, yet the Cat gets nothing but disgust from Ruby and gets left to rot in the Ever After in what looks like an act of personal spite from the so-called "kind, simple soul" (since the creators didn't bother to make it clear WHY the Cat getting what they wanted would be a bad thing), whereas Neo gets sympathy of their commonality connection and gets easily forgiven for going through a brief possession and hypocritically claiming vengeance on the Cat AFTER she found vengeance feels empty. Not to mention that objectively speaking, the Cat committed significantly fewer crimes than Neo did. I'm not saying I hate Neo or that I don't pity her, but... How can a show so well-known and still ongoing have such an incompetent team of writers behind it? (And in case anyone's wondering why I'm back here if I hated this finale so much, it's because I'm scouring for screencaps.)
@@ecthox-1mork909neo wanted revenge because she believed ruby killed someone dear to her the cat was going to kill neo and team rwbyj because someone completely unrelated to them broke their promise (to be honest i don't know what the cat was expecting she just poisoned jaune earlier what did he genuinely think she won't betray him?) the cat lied to them trough the entire journey to get what he wants also it's not like they maliciously abandoned him and killed him that was neo the cat was left to ponder his next course of action just like neo
@@purrgiri9862 Neo unleashed a horde of reincarnation-ending Jabberwalker clones, permanently killing one innocent Afteran and endangering dozens more while destroying the Garden, on top of the acts of terrorism, attempted murder, and complicitness in outright genocide that she committed back on Remnant (some of which she was threatened into committing for her and Roman's own survival, some of which she wasn't). Not to mention, Neo was the one who killed Little and drove Ruby the full way to ascension-suicide, not the Cat. The Cat, from what little we know, wasn't hurting anyone and minded their own business when there weren't any humans around: inbetween Alyx's betrayal and becoming aware of RWBY's arrival, it seems like the Cat continued doing their job of guiding other Afterans at best, or they left other Afterans alone at worst. Even with the Cat's disillusioned hatred of humans, the Cat after possessing Neo was willing to leave WBYJ alone so long as they weren't in the Cat's way (with the exception of when the Cat learned Neo couldn't go through the door and was ready to attack Jaune before seeing Ruby was still in the Tree). The Cat's rep sheet objectively consists of one "crime of passion" homicide against Alyx, four-five attempted homicides against the human WBYJ, psychological abuse against one human, non-fatally body-jacking another human, murder by proxy with the bird Afteran that they possessed to fight off the Jabberwalker clones, fantastic racism against humans over what Alyx did... and that's all the crimes the Cat committed as far as we know.

Honestly Neo might be the only person who can deal with Salem. The Jaberwoky things eat you out of existence. Not sure Salems immortality could for sure deal with that. This probably won't happen but maybe.
@@Jake1989dub1 Depends on how the rules of the Ever After work with Remnant. If it is 100%, then yes. She would be key. But, if she is unable to summon them for any reason on Remnant, then no. She would not. She may even come back without her semblance.
" I love you just the way you are" i tear up because...uts the message they never heard...the thing their mother wanted to tell them and she finally got to hear that.
Could you explain this please. The background music is a bit hard for me to hear (especially cuz of how epic the scene itself is) 😭 I didn’t listen to RLR too too much so I’d like an explanation from a passionate fan 😁
@@Xamllew300Red like roses part 2 is a direct conversation between ruby and summer and how ruby wants to be just like summer part 3 is ruby breaking out of that and being confident she'll be better then her mother "I'll be who you are and I'll be even more"
@@galaxy_cat9575 Well, you know what they say about curiosity and cats. And here it was litaral. And don't feel sorry for the son of a bitch. It was divine justice.
i didn't realize it in the moment but she's so glad ruby's safe and confident in herself again!! i hope we get more ruby and weiss scenes together if we get volume 10, i really adore how close they became
After watching this fight the first time, I’m just WAITING on someone to add this to the ever expanding list of you know what Soundtrack goes with everything.
Fr, he was just heart-broken at the brother gods abandoning him, he wanted nothing more than to find out what was so important, that they'd leave him alone by himself
Aww, I’m so glad that Ruby has her fighting spirit back. Team RWBY is back in business! 1:40-1:44 “I am Ruby Rose. And I am a Huntress!” 2:00 Not for you, ya overgrown mangy feline! 2:14 Nice try. 2:30 Take this! 2:36 Light! 2:38-2:41 You’re finished!
At 3:32 If you slow it down or pause it right moment, you can see the relief you can see in Yang’s eyes because she was so scared of Ruby wouldn't be the same. The way she's on the verge of crying happy tears when Ruby did come. The way she looks like she’s holding the most valuable treasure she truly have, the way Yang looks so grateful just to get the chance to hold Ruby in her arms again. 🥹🌹🌻🥹
The Blacksmith just said it. "Just choose for you". And Ruby did. She chose to be herself, and look how new and improved she's become!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And if Salem or Cinder even think of try to twist her words in some way, they better bite their tongues or they'll regret it. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
@@ponytailmoth8548 TBH, Cinder lied about Ruby and the others using up the Relic of Knowledge, just like how she lied about killing Ozpin when Beacon fell. And once Salem realizes it, she'll be so furious, Cinder will likely get what's coming to her, one way or another. Besides, because her grudge against Ruby was greater than how Neo felt after losing Roman, she's the only person in her thoughts that the Fall Maiden powers will be transferred to her when Cinder dies.
@@DPS1194 interesting theory. With Raven has Spring maiden, Winter has Winter maiden (after Penny), Cinder still has Fall maiden but sooner or later wont last, and now we still wonder if the Summer maiden is in Vacuo
@desireepurnell-sandi8209 Thank you for putting that out there. And as for the Fall maiden's power, I've been thinking the same thing. Considering that I find it possible that Cinder could be killed off at some point and she obviously doesn't care for anyone else, the only person I could think of being in her final thoughts is the one person she hates more than anything else.
It was great ending, with a great message for Ruby and Jaune... about how they have let go of their failures, learn from them, but to move on by accepting themselves and keep on growing to become something more... but seriously they couldn't get a Semblance upgrade... the Ever After only gives Neo an upgrade... how's that fair... Neo better come back as something game changing to help the heroes in their darkest hours is all I got to say.
The Ever After isn’t the sole reason Neo got an upgrade. The sheer anguish and betrayal and overall emotional turmoil within Neo caused her semblance to evolve.
@@galacticknight55544NO ONE is more dangerous than Salem these days. She's a force that can't be stopped and is just moments away from her victory in this war on Remnant.
I’m so happy! 🥹🥹I cried tears of joy and cheered when I saw Ruby was back and she got her emblem back. I knew it would come back!! I was like “WOOHOO!” 🌹🌹🌹 I always had faith that Ruby would be her cheerful and energetic self again.☺️ she’s one of my favorite fictional characters and hearing Red like Roses again made my heart excited
even after 2 months i get shivers up my spine from the fight seeing ruby 100% done with the cats shit and leaving the after images beating the shit out of it and red like roses part 3 and the while synergy of team rwby especialy with that final attack giving sonic vibes of sonic, knuckles, and tails.
Concept art of Summer Rose implies that there were originally going to be more than 10 episodes in the volume, as the concept art is labeled with "EP11" as the episode it was made for.
It's such a powerful reflection of questions I'm sure a lot of people ask themselves in times of depression or anxiety. "Am I enough?" "Do I deserve happiness?" "Am I doing the right thing?" In the end, your intentions reflect who you are as a person. Ruby herself even said to Oscar in Volume 5: "This isn't going to be easy, but the fact that you're even trying says a lot about you." True, Ruby might not become like the heroes in the stories her mum read to her, but that doesn't mean she couldn't become something more. The same could be said for anyone.
Tbh I feel like that probably isn't the exact same ruby, more a ruby with a cleaner mindset and apparently extremely buffed because good lord we haven't seen her styling on a enemy that hard in the entire series yet,she pulled up at level 100 against the first boss of the game type energy That ass whooping was all kinds of disrespectful
3:31 Yang thoughts “I’m sorry Ruby! I’m just so glad to have you back as your are. I’m sorry for everything!” Blake thoughts “Ruby! Thank gods your still you. I’m so sorry” Weiss thoughts “Ruby!❤❤. I’m sorry”
@@Helloandwelcome55 I just personally think her arc was the best part of this volume. Not to say Jaune wasn’t any good, but I preferred Ruby’s side of the story, here.
I've not watched a single episode of this show, so no idea why this scene appeared it my recommended but for some reason I get massive chills from watching this.
Welcome to the FNDM, this show has been a wild ride. I've been with it since the very beginning (the Red Trailer way back in the day) and have loved seeing these kids grow to be the capable Huntsmen and Huntresses they've become@@WINMACEOFWAR
The thing about the cats demeanor at the end of this entire thing is you realize by his body language, he's just as confused and lost as the humans he believes himself to be superior to. I had hoped they'd have tried to at least give him some closure, so that he could have at least experienced some genuine form of love. But it's hard to say what they truly deserved. Saddening really.
Nine volumes in and Jaune's aura finally breaks, unless it's broken before and I've missed it. If not, then Pyrrha was right, he does have a lot of aura 😂
This scene revived my interest in RWBY. Just a day ago I was recommended the part 3 red like roses song and I had the nostalgia of a lifetime hit me like a train and I knew I had to binge Volume 9 at least until I saw the scene where it plays. I was put off by the fairytale setting when it was announced but this one scene has made me realise that they are going back in the right direction in the combat style of RWBY.
Curious Cat didn't deserve to die tho. He felt betrayed first by his creators than by his new friend Alyx. All he wants is to know is why give his this insatiable curiosity. He gives a piece of his heart creature to creature but never had someone give him a piece of theirs. Dude lives a cursed lonely life.
Anyone else notice the little details of the Jabber wolves (or whatever they're called) being a bit shaky in illusion when Neo basically killed off Curious Cat? Just a small detail I liked, even if it may be unintentional :D )
I feel like the choice was made for her. As she was looking Crescent Rose lit up. This damn show is so emotional, I'm a grown ass man getting teared up
