So far from my experience, Speaker Detection in RX 10 Advanced doesn't work well for me at all. I've tried several different recordings that have more than one speaker talking (both male) and RX 10 Advanced is detecting them as just one speaker and can't tell them apart. Also, having Text Navigation and Speaker Detection enabled maxes out my Mac's CPU and makes RX unusable when editing as the CPU can't keep up with the demand.
Was about to ask the same. They should, even if it's sub-optimal. Another feature they should consider is to let the user replace/relabel a poorly transcribed word with the correct one, then periodically send those corrections back to the IZ mothership so they can continually retrain their speech-to-text model... this way it would get better over time.
Awesome. Finding another good word and replacing the bad word with it is what I always did, but manually. This would be helpful if it could transcript Croatian or any language in the world.
So, features like "Text Navigation" and speech recognition ... are only useful if you are cleaning up one long audio clip, like a podcast? I filmed some video interview segments that are now cut into a zillion clips -- should I have done audio cleanup prior to cutting? Davinci Resolve user.
Highlight all the clips you want to be one continuous file in resolve, right click, and select new compound clip. You can now use this asthe one long continuous file
You could just copy (Cmd+C) the text from RX to the region you want to have that text on, and just double-click the clip in Pro Tools and paste (Cmd+V) to rename it.
IZotope, please make your text recognition module more robust. I was considering purchasing RX11 but when I demoed it, I was extremely disappointed. The number of errors in the transcription makes it unusable.
Good idea but unfortunately poor execution. I am interested in saving an English-only file from a lecture that is translated from English to another language. Unfortunately, the program cannot correctly separate the two speakers. Speech-to-text is poorly done when compared to, say, the free Riverside.
@@Nichtzzzz Don't be so ungrateful! In my opinion, this feature is very cool, despite the fact that my language (Russian) is unlikely to ever be available! 😉
@@cvactika your right bro but I buy izotope plugins for many many years and they dont do a lot for people like me and some Features for me are like an update but no New plugin where you have to Pay for
