My cousin had a RX 460 for some time paired with an 6th gen i3... He replaced it with a 570 and he's waaaayy happy about it. Sometimes the cpu even bottlenecks the gpu in this pairing xD. Btw I have a 580 (4GB) and a R3 2200G

@@zalankhan5743 I just had to make this choice, but I went for the RX570 8gb. The RX570 is only just behind the 480 in performance but the 8gb of vram will help the 570 last longer as games start using more vram.
Nice to see someone comparing these cards in 2020. I'm also curious how the GT 1030 would compare to the RX550 2GB and 4GB in 2020. I feel like 2GB vram is getting obsolete even for 720p in some games
Yes it is! Believe it, 2GB vram is obsolete these days (if we're talking about gaming, of course). For instance, i myself had a 2GB card until a few months ago, and i could run the first two "Batman Arkham" (Asylum and City) games with ease, but when i tried to run Arkham Knight... well, let's just say things got messed up, and the game would barely reach 10 fps. Felt like i was playing in slow motion. Anyway, gladly i upgraded to a RX 570 4GB, and i can finally play every single triple A game i want to. Hope this gives you the answer ;)!

What he meant to say is the the 1600 af is only 85$new n gives u exact ryzen 2600 performance.(can overclocked to 4.2gh easily) Which is the same as the 3400g But way cheaper. But I know why Zach use the 3400g. He even said he use the 3400g because alot of ppl bought apus n was stating that anyone looking for better gaming experience. They could choose one of this cards to Upgraded too. Some times u need to actually pay attention to what u watching.
I think you should have covered the power usage also on the graphics cards, since that can make a huge difference on the people with low power systems aka under 400 watt power supply users
Not sure of the system as a whole. A component upgrade may help. I can say applying new thermal compound may be needed. A fan configuration can also help. I oversee 3 RX570 systems where i set the fans to give cooling from low to gaming load.
Also in some regions (like Bangladesh) the Ryzen 5 1600 AF isn't available yet. So, pairing it with a 3400G is actually the cheapest option if we want to upgrade our CPU's later.
I bought an RX 580 8GB for $141 and a HP Z420 workstation for $194 both on EBay. The HP had a Xeon G5-1650V2 6 core, 16Gb of 1866 DDR3 and a 500GB HDU. I installed a Barracuda 500GB SSD and a fresh W10 install using the W7 COA on the chassis. I love this machine and it plays all the titles I want to play.
I wish you used the 4gb variant of the rx 570...Around here the pricing of rx 570 8gb and rx 580 8gb are pretty close but teh 570 4gb being way cheaper
I built my pc in september 2019 and i got -AMD R5 2600 ($129) -MSI RX 570 8GB Armor OC ($156) -16GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistic 4×4GB Ram -1TB HDD + 500GB SSD
Used RX 480 4GB or RX 580 4GB or a new 1650 Super is in the sweet spot of value (benchmarks to the dollar), a used GTX 960 is also right up there as well. Spend more or less and you are getting less benchmarks to the dollar. I think you may find that the 4GB cards have better benchmarks to the dollar on older or current games, although more memory intensive games are coming out that will affect performance on 4GB cards.
I really like your videos man, you're the best. I was able to find a guy selling broken gigabyte rx580 4gb that are still under warranty for 20$ CAD. I tried my luck with 2 of em and got lucky cause they got replaced thanks to the warranty. Do you think that this is worth the risks associated with that? Thanks mate and have a great day !
I think you have the spare time in your life to do the whole warranty or repair thing it's worth it. For someone like me with a full time job, YT channel, wife, kid, etc... I don't have the time to do things like that. Nice work!
Zach's Tech Turf Where I live you just take it to the PC store and they give you a new one on the spot in 5min. I took that 570 back 10 times and they all were bad I just gave up and got the 2080ti.
I was considering getting a rx 560 for a temporary use paired with my r3 2200g, now I'm gonna use a rx 570 4gb maybe even 8gb for longevity and when this human malware is over and a year from now when new 3000 series gpus or whatever comes out i can finally afford a 1080 ti or a 2070s, to better times people scrolling👍
150w average on rx580 power consumption and 100w average on rx570 with almost same performance, that's why rx570 usually more expensive than 580 in some country
I have had the RX 560 for some time now it was an upgrade from an R7 240 but I guess I would be better not getting the 580 and put more money into a better GPU than the 580
@@ZachsTechTurf haha yeah, I pretend to be a small time Midwest Tech Yes City on the used flipping hustle. It's a hobby that pays for itself. The RX 580 is in my personal R5 2600x build, and the GTX 1060 is in a x58 build I'm restoring.
Look forward to playing on my new $700 gaming rig I ordered when it arrives, which has an 8GB RX580 (deffo made a good choice of GPU there); best thing is I don't have to replace the CPU for a decade, as the Ryzen 5 2600X won't bottleneck if I upgrade to an RTX 2070 or 2080 in the future depending on how much cheaper they get in 4-5 years or so!
In the next 4-5 years, rtx 2080 will come out as a middle end card with different name. I almost have similar specs (r5 2600 non X, rx 570), but I mostly play older games because they are cheap on Steam. Maybe will play Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2022-2023 when it'll be on sale 50% off :D

I have the XFX RX 570 8GB and it's a great card. I just got it, but so far it plays Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 with ultra graphics, 1080p, 60fps. Dips occasionally but otherwise runs great. It's a good option for a tight budget.
I don't think there was a bottle neck from the cpu on CS:GO. The 580 is basically a 570 overclocked from the factory. I love my XFX RX580 Black Edition. 1080p gaming should perform great on a 570 or 580.
I just fitted a sapphire Nitro+ RX570 8gb to my 3200g build ( 16gb 3200mhz ram ). I have to say Im really impressed with the performance. Great card considering its getting on abit.
A year ago upgraded from a gtx 460 to an rx580 that I found for $111. Looking at the new round of sub-$250 cards I see no reason to upgrade again. Nothing else in the used market cors close to the bang for the buck, at least that I have found. Maybe when the rx 6600 hits the market or the rtx3060, a used 5600xt or 2060S could be a viable upgrade but for now, I'm just not a hardcore enough game to feel the need to spend close to $300 on a GPU to get enough performance increase to matter. 60fps at 1080p medium is good enough for me...and most of the games I play are older and work just beautifully on high settings.
good thing i choose to buy the rx 570, only one thing. if u put your settings on high grahpics, on high perfomance games jus tlike warzone it wont lag but it will crash your pc. ive learned the hard way
I know you probably don’t come back to old videos, but why did you get the 3400g when the 2600 is a better cpu, cheaper, and you have a graphics card so you don’t need integrated?
Very nice video man! I agree that the RX 560 just doesn’t make any sense considering the poor performance and only minor price difference between it and the RX 570. I do agree with a previous comment stating that a Ryzen 5 1600AF may have been a better choice of CPU - the $85 cost makes it very affordable and the 6 core/12 thread Zen+ architecture is still pretty modern. A 1600AF, 16GB of DDR4, a cheap B450 mobo, and a used RX 570 or RX 580 is actually a pretty standard and good bang-for-your-buck budget build that is still able to play everything at 1080p/high settings/60FPS.
Why not switch out to a Ryzen 5 2600? Its cheaper than the 3400g by like $55 and performs slightly better. $125 for the 2600, 6 Cores 12 Threads and overclocks to 4.2Ghz. It is a steal right now...
I have the MSI Armor RX 580 and well, I hate the cooler. It looks nice but its cooling is really bad. Even with a fresh thermal paste, my GPU still hits 80c, even with 60 percent fan speed, which sounds like a jet engine. Great video Zach!
The RX580 is an absolutely wonderful card. I have my origional MSI Armor (the Mk1 white and black variant) still, just because it was such a solid card in my system for the year I had it in my system. I absolutely fell in love with the 580. You can squeeze even more frames out of a 580 with a better CPU. Something like a 1600AF or a 2600 is probably the sweet spot for dollar to performance. Theres really no point to go above a 1600AF though.
these testing videos are really useless in my opinion. Each video of a different you tuber always gives different results are unreliable tests. According to the owner of the rx 560 I can only say that even today in 2020 it turns out to be a fantastic video card. The presets used have little value because it is sufficient to go into the options and for example and reduce a single option to high to get 60 or more fps. Str wars fallen order on my 560 runs in full hd full with 100% sclae all ultra except post porcessing set to high or medium to obtain 70 fps. The same speech with eternal doom I set everything on ultra and high except asitropic filter on low to get more than 80 fps. As you can see the 560 after 3 years and still an excellent video card by reducing one option. This is why I say that these tests are reductive beyond the fact that each test that I have always seen different results .....
The point is to give you a margin of what the card can do, if the card gives you 50 FPS on the high preset of a modern game, for example, you know the card still packs some punch. You can deduce that you can go to the settings and turn down something can't you?
Winter 2021’s GPU prices mock your measly offerings for a 580. Still using my 8G 580 and works great - unless it’s Cyberpunk or RDR2. Definitely shows it’s age in those games.
Huh, no wonder the game was being problematic for me when I had it installed. I was going max settings, getting 70 fps, and hating the hitches I'd constantly get in game (though iirc that's a hard drive thing, not a game issue)
Without controlling for or defining the 4GB and 8GB versions of the 570 and 580, this is utterly meaningless. If you had, it would be a great and comprehensive set of updated 2020 benchmarks. As it stands, anyone who chooses to buy one of these cards based on this video could be sorely disappointed by the performance hit the 4GB models take in games with higher VRAM utilization.
It was the same deal with the 400 series.The very best OC version of the 470 was very affordable and a good heavily overclocked 470 was probably about the same performance wise as an out of the box reference 480,and the best 480 was kinda on the expensive side.
I actually sold my rx 570 to get an rx 580 or rx 590, decided against the rx 590 because of how power hungry it is and wasnt that much better than the rx 580 but kind of dissapointed the the gap between the rx 570 and rx 580 is so small, couldve kept my rx 570 and be playing games during the apocalypse instead of waiting for it to come in the mail. I have a ryzen 2700x on a b450m motherboard, a rx 580(when it comes)16 gb ddr 3200, 500gb ssd and 2gb hd in a corsair 175r(coolest case ever). Next gaming pc build will definitely start with the gpu and then pick a cpu. In retrospect shouldve gone with a 2060 or 5700xt, and ryzen 2600x instead.
