If you don't have any issues with lowering settings (on some games) the 5700 XT still is a very capable GPU, after all it performs better than a 3060 12GB and pretty much on par with an 6600 XT. Besides some ultra settings don't offer a big impact on visuals yet they have a huge penalty on performance. If you are on a low budget the 5700 XT offers insane price/performance o( ̄▽ ̄)d
I just got my hands on a used rx 5700 xt for 100$ with the seals still intact on the screws, working flawlessly on 1440p 60 fps on mediu/high settings on the games I enjoy and thats pretty much all I want for now. Best 100$ that I have spent.
@@zlyasser1208 landed my main setup which is a 5600g cpu and 5700xt phantom gpu for $90/100 and it looks good feels good. I sacrifice a little over beastier builds but knowing my next upgrade will be mobo/ddr5/cpu/gpu/monitor...full build. I am happy as hell with this build.
You can get a used 6700XT for $230-$250 and do the 6750XT OC yourself for about 7-10 more fps on average. That will close the lead on the $470 7700XT down to single digits in many games. The 7700XT gets 72 fps in Starfield 1080p ultra. My 6750XT gets 65 fps, I saved $220 and only lost out by 7 fps to the 7700XT. It matches or beats the $400+ 4060 Ti and I saved enough for a new Ryzen 5 5600X3D. A $450 upgrade total that brings my AM4 platform above many AM5 builds.
Im amazed that the 5700 can still provide over 60fps on ultra on some of these games, if they dip a little bit just switch to High or Medium, games will still basically look the same. I wonder what game will come out that makes 5700 obsolete and 8gb in general obsolete. If the consoles don't get a mid life upgrade then i think the 5700 might last 8 years, which is pretty wild.
@@tedyyyy123 alright thx ill try a bigger case, I have the coolermaster q300l its pretty small. I started to underclock and undervolt my card cause the hotspot temp was maxing out at 110c and normal temps were reaching 90c not even on very graphic intense games
I got to ask you Jeg, what do you think happened for the RX 7700 XT to use more power and perform worse than the RX 6700 XT in some scenarios? This video is about 6 months old now do you think drivers have improved it at all. Has AMD ever made a public statement on this?
the Rx7700xt perform 10% better and more power consume ? but did you looked how less the fan speed was compared to the 6700xt and how less heat it produced ? Belive me you wont notice any difference between the Rx6700xt and 7700xt in power usage on your bil and i am the one who is living in germany who has the highest power bills on the planet for sure.
The difference is the cooler on the cards, i got the power color red devil 6700xt its running at 1100 rpm and its under 60 degrees full load. My friends gigabyte rx 6700xt is running at 2100 rpm 72 degrees, the difference is pretty insane!
The Difference is HUGE, allone the Feeling is awesome but what matters the most is, get a good 1440p monitor and not the cheapest because ghosting and Hz matter alot and when i tell you that even a RTX 4090 cant handle most new games in 1440p maxed out settings at 170Hz then i tell you the truth, and who on earth will use DLSS on a RTX 4090 to decrease the Visuals, and yes DLSS decrease it no matter what somebody is telling.
Not at all, shouldn't really be upgrading for only about 20% difference and the same amount of VRAM. 6700XT will play all games at 1080P max and most 1440P at max or high settings. If you realy wanna upgrade you should be looking at atleast a 7800XT or wait until the new 4000 series super models come out with better performance and VRAM.
if 7700xt runs at 100%, then 5600x is not bottleneck. I have 5700G with 7800xt and in 1440p is most work on the GPU itself, especially in the latest games.
Hy! I wanted to ask that.. should i go with 5600x or 5700x..i have a GPU in my mind which is 6750xt..so i mostly be playing fps games..i wanted to ask that whats the most diff in fps in 1080p low settings in both 5600x and 5700x paired up with 6750xt?
Go with a 5600x3d if u have a microcenter nearby, $219.99 for purely better gaming performance than any 5000 series chip other then the 5800x3d which still only has marginal gains over the 5600x3d.
@@calebreboulet4512 Pay $80 plus and you have a 5800X3D with better performance which will last longer and since it's the final update you can go for on the AM4 motherboards.
RX 5700XT still best bang for the buck. You can usually get this card for $150 USD second hand. Meanwhile a new RX 6700XT is like $330. And the maximum performance increase is about 35%. If you can get a 6700XT for around $240, then that would be just as good value as getting an RX 5700XT at $150. Unless of course you just want more VRAM to play around with, then of course the 6700XT/6750XT is the clear choice.
you are so wrong, the 6700xt is best for buck, the 5700xt is outdated and it wont get better and if you cant even hit 60 fps on ultra settings in any games in 1080p then it is not a good choice. Dont buy a Used 5700xt and dont even get a Used 6700xt right now, if you want to buy used then wait for rx 8000 to get your hands on a Rx 7000 card because then it will be best value for sure. But you know what is way better a Rx6600xt new and it does not cost that much more then a Rx5700xt used, so here we have it, want it even better ? get a Rx7600 and be thankfull. What do people think, everything goes up in price and Hardware will be the same price ? of course if you payed for used Last gen GPU 5 years ago like 150$ then it will be awesome but nowdays you dont really get anything good for 150$, if you want to play in 1080p and not on a high refresh monitor and not playing on maxed settings then of course the 5700xt will be a good deal but even then, driver support wont last for years, this card is already 5 years old and in GPU years this is old.
God rx5700xt is beast Budget but rx6700xt is worth going instead I'd rather go weaker ram and storage for that fps boost it garantues that i dont need to fear about future when rx5700xt is weak
yes the Rx 5700xt is even faster then a 2060 for sure. But the Rx7800xt for 2k (WQHD) is the best price to performance for real, you can even use AFMF and it is way better then Nvidias Frame Generation and i mean WAY better, and can even get really good FPS and you really see it in smoothness that increase if your monitor support enough Hz. FSR 3.1 is at the same level as DLSS 3.5 for sure, RayTracing there is Nvidia better (not the RTX 4060ti vs Rx7700xt) but other cards are really good in there but then if you turn on AFMF aganst Frame Generation then boom ... you have more FPS with your Radeon Card then with your Nvidia card ... sad but this is the truth and i am not even talking about DLSS or FSR.
hello from Russia, очень нравится как демонстрируешь игровой процесс в сравнении между видеокартами (не то что у некоторых). Хотелось бы увидеть 3050 против 4060
Is it a good idea to change my Vega 56 for an rx 5700 xt? Or should I go for the 6700 xt at least? I play on a 1440p 144hz monitor. Vega 56 lately lets me play with medium graphics at 60-75 fps in current games. My processor is a Ryzen 5 2600, would a GPU higher than the Vega 56 be a bottleneck?
i can tell you the Rx7800xt is on pair with a Rx6900 and in raytracing it beats even a Rx6950xt friend of me had a Rx6950xt and i had more FPS in cyberpunk 2077 on 1440p and raytracing ultra / Psycho then he had.
From bench marks I have seen yes, I am no expert BUT it all depends on what you want to play, what settings you want to play at, and if you already have the rx 6700 xt AND what is your budget?
CAN someone please just please send me a few bucks for this new 480$ 5700xt i can get, i have a passion so hard for making videos, im hsing an i5 laptop rigjt now
so i wanted a RX6700 XT/RTX 3070Ti for a upgrade in 1440P gaming and cross referenced your vids with iceberg techs and the RTX 2060 i own is only 35-42% behind these cards at bboth 1080p and 1440p now most gamers would say that's a huge jump however the price difference is 110% on average for the nvidia cards and 100% for the AMD cards that means that it's a waste of money i can enjoy high settings and buy two used RTX 2060s for another year the upgrade massively(60%) with RTX5000 or the new RX series coming in 2025, i feel a 16gig card with more bandwidth etc. will be a lot more worth it then wasting money right now same can be said for RTX 2070/2080s. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1a__6GpjFC0.html
8gb vram is not enough for 1440p so forget the 3070 ti very fast, alot of games nowdays even eat more then 8gb vram in 1080p. And dont think because in benchmarks your GPU use just 7.5 gb out of 8 it mean it is okey, it mean you will have alot of stutters and not a good experience over all as with enough vram.
@@allxtend4005 Let me hurt your feelings a bit, My RTX 2060 sold quick after inposted it on marketplace as a joke so i bought a second pc with a RX6700 XT BUT i was correct the RTX 2060 was not far behind the RX6700 xt. So far only in one game the RX6700 XT was vastly better then my previous RTX 2060 everything else the performance is a 5fps gain here and a 8fps there no 20fps to 40fps gap like many vids show or would like you to think...best part is i upgraded to a better cpu, faster nvme SsD and faster Ram so there is ZERO way the results is not accurate in my individual case. So cry more a RTX 2060 Super or RTX 2060 12gig would be very viable for gamers for at least another year my idea is to get one and put it in my old pc and chill. 🫡🫡🫡
@@allxtend4005 i had very minimal frame time issues on my old setup but a 10GIG card would be better for incase RE8 ate 11.3gigs of VRAM on my RX6700 XT with ray tracing on, now with the RTX 2060 i got the same FPS at ultra with RT Maxed and off as well i can say the RX6700 XT was smoother on four certain spots where the VRAM must have been the issue but everywhere else it was all equal.
@@allxtend4005 just checked my last vid on the RTX 2060 in RE8 a Very VRAM hungry game and got 80fps to 90fps with a low of 34fps that was with Maxed settings and maxed RT On. The RX6700 XT gets 70-90Fps with the lowest i remember at 48fps did a full playthrough with RT on, RX 6700 XT eats VRAM Old pc and RTX 2060 used all 6gigs yes but handled it fine so my use case is VERY different when compared to the independent testers. Ill redo this test if i ever get a RTX 2060 12gig. Cheers.
