nvidia cards resell value is alot higher, that is why. AMD>NVIDIA now on price to performance by a margin unless you need the encoders...otherwise there is no contest really.
@@alanliesbert2099 its not wasteful, you can undervolt (lower the power consumption) the RX 580 while getting the same FPS as default/stock settings using MSI Afterburner or AMD Adrenalin Software. It has better 1% and 0.1% lows too since it has more VRAM than GTX 1060 6GB but still, both GPUs are awesome for below $100.
@@cribbbles yes i have both but i can undervolt my rx 580 to 80 watt but that GPU clock is unstable but still works in 30fps-40fps , i test it in game nfs heat , AC Vahalla , Forza Horizon 5 , and other my favorite game . But i recomend you to pick RX 6000 series bcs that graphic card has low power consumption(60watt) for heavy games at right aligned graphics quality ,I've tried it👍

imagine a dude thinking an extra 40w is equall to an insane electic bill charge. (lets say 8hrs everyday for a month) (it just cost me less than 1 USD/month) and of coz I dont play 8 hrs AAA games everyday.. if you are an enviroment friendly guy to this level which less than 1usd per month is = INSANE in your mind, then you shouldnt use the pc actually, just go out and play with your dog, (but it will create more co2 by the way)
I've had problems with the rx580. It artifacted my screen after 1y of usage. If you are trying to get more fps I would put more money towards getting a 1070, 1080, it will be better down the road. Go with a gtx 1070 8gb, or even a 1080 8gb. It's better to put more money towards a GTX 1070 8gb or even a GTX 1080 8gb. I found a 1080 8gb here recently on ebay for around $139~. So if you are able to, get a 1070 or a 1080. Both 8gb models are good!
if you want price : performance gpu, this one a good deal. im using it rn. really good and stable in obs. do output 1920 x 1080 60fps encoder : h.265 bitrate : 6.000 - 10.000 kbps it will cut 8-15 fps of your overall gameplay while streaming.
overclocking rx 580 yeilds almost no extra performance (i have one) while i have seen videos of oc and increased power limit 1060 6gb getting 10-20% fps bost
Dude wtf are you doing with a phenom 1090t That things gonna hard hard struggle to run anything modern. Time for a cpu upgrade. Even an ali express 2600x or 3600x would run laps around that old cpu

It depends on which rx580 you buying most brands intentionally leave out this important information, the 2048sp is the cheapest rx580 8gb which performance is basically an rx570 but even tho with the plain rx580 i honestly think it's graphic computation is a bit worse compared to grx1060, and the power usage of an rx580 is higher, also it can get really hot from 80-90° when playing games, but as far as I can tell that getting this hot is normal for an rx580.So to summarise it I have to say rx580 isn't optimised in graphics, heat system, power consumption.
@@AliSani yes because nvidea's gpu performs better then amd, but also note that there are quite a few better gpu's in the market now almost valued at the price of rx580 8gb, which are far better
Разница в фпс максимум 1-2 кадра в секунду, версия ничего значительного не даёт, отличается только дизайн, охлаждение и максимум + пару процентов производительности за счёт заводского oc который в играх даст +2-3 фпс.
