especialyy to nvidia while in my country the were selling 3080 ti for almost 1.500 euros!!!!and think tha the in the next gen a 4070 ti super with 950 euros can perform like a 3090 ti.....back in this days a 3090 ti was a myth to buy...
@@Battleneter it’s not the highest end card of the generation but yes this is still a high end card. a 2gb vram difference is not substantial whatsoever between the 10gb and 12gb 3080s either. there’s also a 3070ti, 3070, 3060ti, 3060 12gb, 3060 8gb, 3050ti (for laptops) and 3050 below it and the performance difference between the 3070ti and the 3080 is also pretty damn big so i’m not rly getting your logic here. its a high end card and so many people would be ecstatic to have it because of how good the performance is still today. once again, high end last gen vs mid range current gen. there’s no denying that
I'd rephrase it as very well. Considering games target consoles, which are RTX2070Super / RX6700 class hardware, it'll be outpacing them until the gen ends in 2027.
Are we forgetting the fact that we’re comparing an originally $700 high end card to a $400 midrange card today. Compare the 7700xt and the 4060ti 8gb then find what you see😂
@@hotsos8162 $50 is a huge difference when it comes to gpus, and you’re talking about buying new vs used. Sure, you can get a 3080 for $450 but again, it’ll be a used card. It’s not the same as buying a new card. So look at the comparisons all you want, there’s still many difference
Getting an RTX 3080 12GB for MSRP in early 2022 with the end of scalping and the recent launch of the i7-12700K was really the best way to replace an i7-8700K GTX 1080 Ti PC of 2017. 5 year upgrade cycle too. They are both legendary combinations.
@@paulolego2888 it gives same results on these settings on native resolution(without dlss) games Alan wake 2 ,starfield and gray zone warfare 60fps on 1080p high and 1440p medium.Yeah games are trash in terms of optimization nowadays.
@@greatexpectation6456 I played Dragons Dogma 2 fine at 4k but with DLSS quality mode. I still got cpu bottlenecked in towns with a 7800x3d weirdly but otherwise it kept 60 fps just fine.
Well Nvidia obviously has a better position mostly because of it's features that has limited availability. The 7700XT here has also obviously better performance per watt since it's on a newer node. Between these two though, I'd choose the Radeon regardless mostly because of the efficiency and the AV1 encoder.
7700XT better choice unless you really need CUDA or you plan to record videos with the nvidia encoder, otherwise the 7700XT is better for raw gaming. look at the power draw!
ya when compared to 4 years old 3080... if u compare to 1 year old 4070 it's actually less efficient and worse for not having DLSS and mediocre RT. the thing is that over time more and more games will be like avatar that use RT at all presets.

It is because power efficiency isn't AMD gpu's schtick. Compare this to a similar numbering like 3070 vs rx 7700xt it'll automatically lose in power efficiency. Even the rx 7600 loses at 3060 power efficiency.
It is a shame for Nvidia to put only 10gb to a card that used to cost $700. It should have been at least 12gb. Other than that, this card is still great today😊.
What's wrong with the people here in the comments? The 3080 draws a really considerable amount of power more, runs hotter and costs more, only for a rather small advantage. I recently went with Nvidia too, but only because I picked up a 3070ti laptop for 700 Eur. Usually in most price brakets, AMD wins over Nvidia. At least, that's my opinion
@neexxxt I know it very well, people who ain't got no info prefers nvidia over AMD but in fact my 6700xt is all better than this 3080. Nvidia marketin' bullshittin' nothin' else.
@@apotato5563 3080 support DLSS 3.7 for resolution scale and ray reconstruction it only miss the DLSS 3 frame gen and honestly i have tried frame gen on many games and it's just useless BS, in every single time i prefer responsive 60ish FPS over 120 FPS FG with higher response time. the only reason i took 4070TI over 3080TI at the time is the heat since i use ITX case
As it has more VRam, the game engine allocates more stuff (not that it is actually using that VRam at the moment, it´s just allocated, thats how Afterburner works). Also the difference in architecture, memory bandwidth (320 bits bus-760gb/s gddr6x for the 3080 versus 192 bits-432gb/s gddr6 for the 7700xt). Theres lots of factors involved, i wouldnt assume different settings right on the bat.
@@CloudmasterGamingIm used to overspending. Also the card arrived with fans doing a brushing noise. Theres no way I can wait months for RMA. Just have to stick with it for 2 years until its time to upgrade again
@@zzanuda_ смысла особого нет от 5700х3д. При наличии 7500ф. 7500ф и быстрее чем 5700х3д, и ам5 более перспективная платформа. 5700х3д был бы хорошо, выйди он 2 года назад. Лучше всего сливать ам4 пока она хоть как-то в цене. Пример с ам3 не буду приводить, так как он уж очень старый, но вот 1700 Интел ему 2.5 года. И кому сейчас нужен 1200 сокет? Который 3 года назад был топ? Никому. Вот так же и с ам4 будет. Ам5 уже 1.5 года. Как только выходят райзен 9000(процы на 6-8 ядер с 3д кеш). 7000 линейка мгновенно теряет 35% цены. А кому будут нужны ам4, когда 7500ф будет стоить 10к(кстати полгода назад он уже стоил 11.9к)? Весь мусор ам4 будет лежать в лотках "все по 10". Поэтому сейчас самое верное обновляться на ам5. И брать себе или 7500ф с прицелом замены на 9500ф ну или на 9800х3д. Ам4 уже труп, дайте ей умереть спокойно.
Сравни частоту видеочипа, возможно поэтому производительность меньше Ещё мб недогруз, так как память и проц в стоке. Озу разгони, затюнь тайминги. Пбо у процессора включи, или разгони множителем вручную, гайдов полно У самого Ryzen 5600, 16х2 3733 CL16 с затюнеными таймингами. в QHD 3080 нагружает отлично.
Пожалуйста, подскажите, осилит ли блок в 650 ватт, процессор Ryzen 5 7500F c видюхой RX 7700 XT ??? Для видюхи RX 7700 XT написано что рекомендовано брать блок в 700 ватт. Но когда я в "калькуляторе подбора блоков по компонентам пк" ввожу свои параметры, там выходит 480 ватт макс потребление, ориентировочно. Может 650 ватт мой блок питания тоже норм подойдёт? У меня блок питания DeepCool PN650M !!!!
In this comment section I smells of stupidity. These are two different price classes. Yes the 3080 is faster but it's more expensive and uses a lot more power and you'll notice that (certainly if you are from europe). So I'll call it a draw. Anyone who thinks different fine. If you chose to only buy from one or the other. It's your loss when you realize that you've bought a piece of junk when you are out of vram in two years or have terrible upscaling.
@@lc756 True, but it does have 2gb less of vram and it's price is more like that of a 7900GRE. And most of those feautures are software and I pay for a product that's hardware. On linux you can fool around as much with software as you want limiting the benefits of Nvidia. And the 7700 XT has ai encoders just like the 3080 so it wouldn't be to hard to see AMD someday release an fsr option for RDNA3+ cards that actually use AI encoding. (Response to you 2nd comment: Which should you chose) Neither, the 3080 is objectively worse than the 4070 (super) and the 7700 XT has the 7800 XT on it's heals. This is basically the question: AMD or Nvidia with the normal response of: If you want't Vram/Real performance: AMD but if you like RT and wan't to use upscaling: Nvidia. But I must say that if price wasn't a consideration I would get the 3080. Not because I'm gonna use it (I have a 7800 XT (upgraded from 3070) and I have a laptop 3060) but just to look at the legendary 3080. And put it on a shelf

Now, if it actually WAS $450 then honestly I'd be team green. But its more or less $500 and the 7700XT is going on sale for $380-$370 so, nvidia is still being greedy And as always, AMD > Nvidia.
@@lc756 To say that you clearly not knowing much about hardware, AMD are better in rasterisation than Nvidia, what make Nvidia having better fps it's because they have DLSS and Frame Generation, other than that AMD are better for the price. Between a 4070, 4070 Super and a RX 7800 XT i choose the AMD card cuz more vram for about same performance. I dont play with Ray Tracing and Nvidia are too overpriced
I got a EVGA FTW RTX 3080 for msrp, but I had to wait 10 months. The card in the video is not drawing its full 320 watts. My card will draw 360 watts and would smoke both these cards.
In my Europe new 3080's go for 680 euro's while 7700 XT's go for 430. It's a completely different price class. And the 3080 uses over 100Watts more. Altough I wouldn't recommend either because of their 10/12GB frame buffer
Are you talking from experience or from feelings? As some one who has a radeon and an Nvidia I must say that I like both. (Although I do prefer the 16GB on my AMD vs 6GB on my Nvidia) (7800 xt in desktop and 3060 in laptop) Yeah sure different performance class but looking on product quality and performance their both solid options. (And don't try to say it's unfair to compare those two gpu's. Because we aren't. We are comparing the manufactuer)
Nvidia fanboy that never had a amd card! Rdna2 and 3 are vrry good arch, i had both brands and both has their string and weaks, but amd is a good price perf card
