@@nguyenhuutrung3413 I mean Gundam already showed it's Super Robot enough anyway as Tomino never really left his Super Robot roots when he made Gundam show.
@nguyenhuutrung3413 but that is the point of its design. The thing is meant to replicate human actions via the inputs (i still think their controls are dumb i wished it was more like patlabor) so it will move human like since its modeled after one. If yours peaking of the of how they moved in the anime, if you minused the pauses between their attacks, they still moved very human. I think is you mean by the like of pauses and constant movement, I kinda get that but I seethe way it moves here more akin to an exoskeleton which kinda makes more sense with the anatomical shape.
@@albertwesker295 I'm guessing English is not your first language. I know it suppose to mimic human actions since it's humanoid, I'm just saying that it's exactly because of it's sticks-and-levers control scheme that the movements should look somewhat more stiff and "pre-animated" since certain actions should be tied to certain buttons. The human-like movements only works when it's like Patlabor like you said, or if the pilot is extremely good with the control and the piloting is somewhat AI assisted. I despise it when mecha behave like giant humans in metal suits when the control scheme is clearly levers and buttons, the Gundam Dynasty series's cutscenes irk me alot due to this.
@@TheWarmachine375 Is this show in particular actually made by Tomino though ? Since this is a spin-off. Also, I'll get it if the show is leaning toward the absurd side like G-Gundam, but it's not and it's clearly trying to be somewhat grounded like 08th MS team and Hathaway, so please excuse me for nitpicking
I definitely love the power output of the weapons. The ballistic guns fell like they have heft and recoil, with shots causing impact. Then you have a fast precision beam rifles with slow rates of fire.
How does this make fast giant robots, in daylight, look more realistic than pacific rim uprising??? I think uprising had the wromg directing and cinematography or something.
@@Fulcrox It wasnt plot armor One Norris was trying to buy time and two Aina told him that she though of him like a father so learning that Shiro was her lover is why he didnt kill him but if the situation was different, Norris would have easily capped the 08th MST alone Norris was low on ammo so he probably might have taken out at 3-5 MST before the EFGF would get him
@@verdebusterAP Pretty sure it's plot armor. Shiro dodged a Zaku's shots outside a mobile suit. His eardrums should have been ruptured and bleeding from just dodging them.
@@TheWarmachine375 Not exactly The Zaku's 120mm gun isnt like a normal 120mm tank gun Its machine gun designed for high rate of fire so the overpressure it generates is much less than normal In Gundam 0083, Monsha fired several shots from its 90mm near Nina and Bait Yes there was pressure waves from him firing , but it more loud than painful
@@verdebusterAP Fair enough but still, it should have disoriented Shiro if that's the case. It would discombobulate him into missing his bazooka shot at the Zaku who tried to shoot him.
@@Clone_Enginer there's a scene in that OVA you should check out where a Zaku II pilot desperately tries to fend off the FA Gundam closing in on his sniping position. I like RFV's slasher villain approach but they sure ain't the first to paint the Gundam in an antagonistic light, also erm ☝️🤓.
@@possibly8180 Yes, I remember that scene when the jazz sound was already playing, it was enough to make a Zeon's hair stand on end, I'm waiting for them to finish the manga for a 3rd season of Gundam Thunderbolt
I’m so happy this show delivered! After watching it, it honestly completely changed my mind about the MS designs. You can tell the passion that went into it, when the mobile suits move, how their weapons sound, the lighting, and especially making the Gundam as scary as I always thought it would be irl!
This series has definitely won me over after seeing these designs in motion lmao, just the right amount of heft in most scenes save for the Gundam going full ballistic in some of them. It just sucks that the quality of the already miniscule plot and the human characters had to suffer for it though.
wasn't all MS made from a special material called gundarium alloy or whatever? that special material is way lighter than regular metal yet more durable. That's why they are able to move that fast even under gravity's pressure
Its not The RGM-79s weighs 59 tons The Zaku 72 tons The Gouf 78 tons Accord to canon, Jaegers weigh over 1800 tons Some as much 6000-7000 tons Mobile suits on average weigh between 40 to 100 tons at most For real world physics The C-5 Galaxy max take off weight is 420 tons The smaller C-130 is 75 tons Its not that gravity issue isnt an issue, its fact that they are substantial lighter than a Jaeger hence why they are able to move freely and faster Gundam Bael another favorite weighed just 30 tons but thanks to its oversized thrusters in the wings, it had incredible speed in space or on the ground The Jaeger's shear mass is why they moved so slowly compared to gundams
Yes! And people complain about it? This doesn't look real, they said? In which reality do they see real, authentic giant robots kicking each other azzes? Unless they're from the future, they better keep their nonsense to themselves.
Thats because unlike in other series, here the pilots are quite competent so he absolute needs to focus his atention on them, even regular Zakus we're able to pull a fight for a couple of minutes, meanwhile in other shows the Grunts die in seconds like absolute jackasses
Since always. The EM field that heats up a heat weapon repels the I-field that contains the plasma of a Beam Saber. Another famous example of a beam saber clashing with a heat weapon is the Alex vs Zaku II Kai fight from 0080.
Saw the first two episode. I was surprised how good it was. Was expecting it to be bad and filled with DEI bs due to character designs evoking the usual WOKE DEI go to designs in media. Here's to hoping the rest of the episodes are just as good.
0 37 Gundam fighters. Want to fight a gundam but all you have are grunt units. Take the Gouf series. Also figured a possible meaning to EX-Exterminator Toughest GM ever
I want to ask to the Gundam fans who knows the entire lore of the franchise and like every war we have to pick a side so which one you are Zeon or earth federation and your reason and why ?
@@kibayaiba3893 Well aside from being generally super corrupt and oppressive, the Feds used a hefty amount of inexperienced child soldiers as MS pilots. So there's that
